At the Xbox Gamescom Livestream, a fresh trailer for Metaphor: ReFantazio was unveiled, emphasizing the adventure towards the Royal Tournament. During the broadcast, Studio Zero’s director Katsura Hashino presented the “Journey Beyond Fantasy” trailer, which highlights the protagonist traversing vast territories in an attempt to secure the backing of the people of the United Kingdom of Euchronia, with aspirations of being chosen as their next monarch.
Hailing from the same imaginative team as Persona 3, 4, and 5, we present Metaphor: ReFantazio – a fresh fantasy adventure. In this realm, your character embarks on a quest with their fairy sidekick, Gallica, to break a curse afflicting the kingdom’s missing prince. Guide your own fate, confront your apprehensions, and unleash dormant “Archetype” powers within you. As you tap into an “Archetype”, you gain access to harness and blend the skills of distinctive job classes. Cultivate relationships and assemble a party to vanquish formidable adversaries and uncover the kingdom’s hidden essence.
Audience members were treated to extended clips that included Stewart Clarke and Kristin Atherton, the English voice actors behind Strohl and Hulkenberg. In an engaging conversation, they talked about their character roles in Metaphor: ReFantazio, shared their preparation processes for their performances, and offered insights into the experience of diving deep into the fantastical universe of the game.
