As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of gaming under my belt, I can confidently say that Black Myth: Wukong has been one of the most challenging yet rewarding games I’ve played recently. The Venom Daoist quest, leading to the secret area in Chapter 4, Purple Cloud Mountain, is a testament to the intricate design and depth hidden within this game.

In the game Black Myth: Wukong, Venom Daoist is one of several hidden adversaries. Finding and overcoming him on two separate occasions will cause him to unveil the entryway to a clandestine location in Chapter 4, known as Purple Cloud Mountain.

In the game, The Chosen One meets various characters with their unique journeys, similar to Daoist Mi in Black Myth: Wukong. At the end of a hidden region, you’ll find the boss, named Duskveil, who presents a two-part battle challenge. During the first phase, players will enjoy an advantage due to the appearance of Scorpionlord as an ally.

In the world of Black Myth Wukong, to uncover the hidden secrets of Chapter 4, I’ve got to wrap up the Venom Daoist quest first. This cunning foe can only be defeated in two distinct locations, and once he falls, it’s him who opens the gate to the Purple Cloud Mountain.

Location #1

Begin at the Webbed Hollow’s entrance. Ascend the steps, then veer right to descend to the lower platform via a jump. Disregard the enemy and swerve left to traverse between spider cocoons. Continue onward, passing an archer adversary, until you reach a web-filled area. Exit this zone, ascend the staircase, and move up the incline to observe the Pool of Shattered Jade Keeper’s Shrine situated across the pond from your location.

The nearby room has a cocoon bigger than usual that contains the Venom Daoist. Keep hitting the cocoon until the HP bar is critically low to force the boss out and fight it. Once the fight is over, he runs away and promises to fight the Destined One again after more training.

Location #2

Follow the path from the Court of Illumination Keeper’s Sanctuary within the Temple of Blossoming Yellows. Rotate around and descend the steps. Advance forward past the winding adversaries resembling serpents until you encounter a set of narrow, white stairs ascending. Once you reach an intersection, continue leftward, sliding downhill into a spacious area that appears to be a battlefield for a boss fight.

Entering the room initiates a confrontation with the Venom Daoist boss, consisting of two stages. Defeating him completely causes him to unveil a mural on the wall and instruct the players to explore the Purple Cloud Mountain Region.

Where To Find Duskveil In Black Myth: Wukong

In simpler terms, you’ll find Duskveil at the end of the hidden region in Purple Cloud Mountain. To get there, you need to successfully navigate through three special places known as the Keeper’s Shrines.

As I venture into the hidden locale, I take a few cautious strides to spot a vibrant pink serpent. Crossing the span, I continue my journey until the Sanctum of the Blossom Valley’s Guardian comes into view.

Starting at the Shrine, make your way over the bridge and continue onward to encounter a tree-like adversary. Hidden behind it are additional foes, so be cautious. In the subsequent region, the Chosen One will need to defeat two guards in order to activate the Keeper’s Shrine.

1. Ascend the steps close to Petalfall Hamlet Shrine, avoiding any adversaries. Proceed through the upcoming gateway and then veer left. When players arrive at a house, advance right and take a leap down. Walk a short distance to discover Cloudnest Peak Keeper’s Shrine. To confront the Duskveil boss, ascend the stairs adjacent to it.

It’s important to complete all the quests within the hidden region before defeating Duskveil, because some of them, such as the one with Daoist Mi, will no longer be accessible afterward.
