Players of ARC Raiders are increasingly frustrated with a persistent glitch that’s been causing problems with locked doors in the game for several weeks. Despite regular updates from Embark Studios since the game launched in late October, this major issue remains unresolved. The community is now urging the developers to either fix the glitch or ban players who are exploiting it.
In the extraction shooter ARC Raiders, getting powerful gear is key to success, and there are several ways to do it. Players can defeat enemies, eliminate other players, finish quests, or search high-value areas for loot. Finding keys to unlock special locations is particularly rewarding, giving access to areas others can’t reach. However, a recent exploit has been disrupting this system and impacting the game experience for many players.
ARC Raiders Fans Are Fed Up With the Locked Door Glitch
Man, this locked door glitch in ARC Raiders has been super frustrating lately. For weeks, people have been getting into areas they’re not supposed to, even without the keys! There were a bunch of ways to do it, but the devs have patched most of them. There’s still one that works, though – it’s kinda weird. You basically have to run into the locked door while a teammate pushes you from behind, and eventually you phase right through it. Then you can open it from the other side. It’s totally breaking the game, and the community is not happy. Some people, like the content creator Klean, are even saying Embark should ban players who are exploiting it while they work on a proper fix.
This exploit negatively impacts the game community in a few ways. Primarily, it bypasses a core gameplay element – finding keys – and can disrupt raids when players all rush to the same spot to take advantage of the glitch. It also unfairly puts legitimate players at risk of losing keys they’ve worked hard to obtain. While some players might have a secure storage space, if it’s full, they could enter a raid and lose their key only to discover the area has already been looted by those using the exploit.
Over the past few weeks, Embark has been consistently updating ARC Raiders, fixing problems, squashing bugs, and adding fresh content. However, one particular glitch continues to persist. While it’s possible the developers are having trouble finding a solution to the exploit that lets players get stuck in locked doors, it’s hard to believe they aren’t aware of it, as players have been talking about it for weeks.
Embark hasn’t officially said anything about the issue yet, but they’ve announced a major update coming in December, giving players hope for a fix soon. The update, detailed in the ARC Raiders 2025 Roadmap, will include a new Snowfall Map Condition, an event called Flickering Flames, a new Raider Deck with unlockable cosmetics, and fresh quests.
