While this update is relatively small, it fixes two widely-reported exploits that players have been requesting be addressed for several weeks. ARC Raiders Finally Fixes Locked Door Exploit

The latest patch, version 1.4.0, is now available on all platforms and includes important fixes and improvements. According to the official update notes, it now includes measures to prevent players from exploiting glitches to enter locked rooms. While the glitch still technically works, players who manage to get inside a locked room will quickly be defeated by flames.

Over the past few weeks, a major issue in ARC Raiders has been a glitch allowing players to get into locked rooms without the necessary keys. Players discovered several ways to do this, but the most common involved two players coordinating: one would run into a locked door while the other ran into them from behind. This would allow the first player to pass through the door, open it from the inside, and let their team access valuable items and equipment.

In games like ARC Raiders where you collect items during missions, looting is a core part of the experience. So, when players discovered a way to unfairly loot rooms before others, it caused a lot of frustration. Legitimate players risked losing valuable gear and keys on raids, only to find rooms already empty. Fortunately, this issue has been fixed, meaning players can now explore without worrying about rooms being illegally looted.

So, update 1.4.0 dropped, and they fixed a pretty annoying exploit with the Il Toro shotgun – you know, one of the best PvP weapons in ARC Raiders. Basically, people were able to fire it way faster than it’s supposed to by quickly switching to a healing item like a Bandage or Shield Recharger between shots.
