Core Keeper: How To Hatch Eggs & Use An Incubator

As an avid gamer with countless hours spent exploring the vast digital landscapes of various games, I must say that Core Keeper has truly captured my heart. The freedom it offers is simply exhilarating, and the prospect of taming pets to aid me on my journey through its dark and mysterious biomes is nothing short of enticing.

In essence, Core Keeper centers around giving players ample room for movement and choice, enabling them to explore and interact with the game world as they please, without strict guidelines or quest indicators. Fundamentally, it’s an adventure game that focuses on exploration, aiming to stir excitement and evoke emotions within its players.

Instead of venturing into mysterious caves and battling formidable foes on your own while navigating a captivating realm, wouldn’t it be amazing if you had a companion by your side? In the game Core Keeper, players can acquire pets to assist them in their journey. To obtain these pets, one must hatch eggs within an incubator, which is possible even early in the game, provided you know where to find the necessary ingredients.

To start the process of hatching an egg, you initially need to acquire one. In the game Core Keeper, there are three methods available for procuring eggs.

  • Getting them from digging spots in the world using a shovel.
  • Finding them in loot crates scattered around the world.
  • Buying them from the Bearded Merchant, an NPC that players can buy items from after they defeat Glurch the Abominous Mass.

Once you’ve selected your preferred egg, the following step involves constructing an incubator, connecting it to power, and placing the egg inside for half an hour. When the thirty minutes (actual time) elapse, you will have a pet that can aid you in navigating the perilous biomes of Core Keeper’s world.

How To Use Incubators In Core Keeper

Incubators are small structures that occupy a single tile on your map. You can construct them by combining 8 Copper Bars and 8 Glass Shards at the Copper Workbench. But keep in mind, these incubators don’t operate independently; they require electricity to work properly.

Pieces of broken glass can be made by heating any sand blocks within a Glass Melting Furnace. You can construct a Glass Melting Furnace using five Copper Bars on a Copper Workstation.

In Core Keeper, generating electricity might seem simple at first, but it can lead to intricate systems. The most straightforward method for producing electricity involves utilizing a Lever in conjunction with Electrical Wire. Both these elements can be fabricated on the Electronics Table, an item that can be crafted using a Copper Workbench. This workbench requires 8 pieces of Copper bar and 8 pieces of Wood to construct.

Arrange the lever and the incubator together, attaching an electrical cable between them. After connecting the lever, activate it, and observe as the incubator starts functioning. Subsequently, introduce the egg into the incubator and await its emergence from the shell.
