Star Wars Outlaws: Refuse and Finish the Job or Double Cross the Hutts?

Star Wars Outlaws: Refuse and Finish the Job or Double Cross the Hutts?

As a seasoned Star Wars Outlaws player with countless hours under my belt, I’ve found myself in many a tough decision, but none quite like the Sabotage syndicate quest. After much contemplation and replaying the game multiple times, I’ve come to realize that whether you choose to refuse and finish the job or double-cross the Hutts, it’s all part of the galaxy far, far away’s intricate web of crime and politics.

During gameplay of Star Wars Outlaws, players will frequently encounter situations where they must make significant choices that impact Kay’s standing with the game’s criminal underworld. One such choice presents itself in the Sabotage syndicate mission. The Sabotage mission can be initiated by conversing with a man named Verrick, who can be found in the cantina at Jaunta’s Hope. To set off the Sabotage, players will need to perform a heist for the Hutt Cartel, stealing a client list from the Pykes as part of their mission.

In the opening act of our Star Wars Outlaws adventure, I found myself rendezvousing with Verrick’s contact Monda, a shady figure, near the Pyke Poaching Station in Toshara’s southern region. She handed me a bomb to sabotage a detonator, but as I discovered the location of the client list, Monda suddenly appeared out of nowhere and confessed she’d been working for Crimson Dawn all along! Now I’m faced with a tough decision: either double-cross the Hutts or stay loyal and finish the job. Quite the pickle!

Should You Refuse and Finish the Job or Double Cross the Hutts?

Star Wars Outlaws: Refuse and Finish the Job or Double Cross the Hutts?

From a fan’s perspective, the narrative remains unaltered whether I choose to deceive or remain loyal to the Hutts in completing the mission. However, should I opt for deceit, I’ll only pocket 750 Credits instead of the full 1,000. On the other hand, if I decline Monda’s offer, I’d have to take her out immediately. Regardless of my choice, Kay’s standing with the Hutts will see a slight boost, but it’ll soar significantly if I choose to stand firm and carry out the task. My connection with Crimson Dawn will either strengthen or deteriorate based on my decision.

If players have been supporting the Pykes throughout the game so far, they might already have a negative or poor standing with Crimson Dawn. In that case, it would be wiser to decline the task and enhance your reputation with the Hutts instead. Conversely, if players have been backing Crimson Dawn, they might want to consider betraying the Hutts, as this could represent one of the rare opportunities early in the game to strengthen Kay’s ties with the Hutt Cartel.
