There are 59 passive abilities in Ball x Pit. While many are available from the beginning, others are unlocked by progressing in the game and combining specific items. This guide details every passive in Ball x Pit and explains how to obtain each one.

All Passives in Ball x Pit

Ball x Pit features 51 unique passives. Many of these are available right from the beginning of the game, while others are unlocked by completing specific levels. Here’s a guide to how to get each passive and what benefits it offers when chosen.

Archer’s Effigy Every 7-12 rows, spawn a stone archer with 160 health on your side. Stone archers are immune to ball damage and shoot arrows at enemies, dealing 10-20 damage each. Complete the Snow X Shores.
Artificial Heart Friendly pieces gain 100 percent more health. Starting passive. Requires the player to have a passive that spawns allies.
Baby Rattle Gain 1.5x baby balls, but your aim becomes scattered. Starting passive.
Bandage Roll Shoot 1-2 baby balls each time you’re healed. Starting passive.
Bottled Tornado When you catch a special ball, automatically shoot 1-3 new baby balls in random directions. Starting passive.
Breastplate Decrease damage taken by 10 percent. Starting passive.
Crown of Thorns Destroy the two nearest enemies when you are hit from close range. Starting passive.
Cursed Elixir When a poisoned enemy dies, 10 percent chance for them to come back as a zombie (240 health) that moves up the board to fight enemies. Complete the Bone X Yard. Requires the player to have a ball that poisons enemies.
Deadeye’s Amulet Critical hits deal 10-15 bonus damage. Starting passive.
Diamond Hilted Dagger Increase cit chance to 20 percent when hitting enemies in the front. Complete the Liminal X Desert.
Dynamite Every 5-10 rows, spawn an enemy with dynamite attached to them. Destroying them will deal 200-500 damage to nearby enemies. Complete the Smoldering X Depths.
Emerald Hilted Dagger Increase crit chance to 20 percent when hitting enemies on their right side. Starting passive.
Ethereal Cloak Balls go through enemies and deal 25 percent bonus damage until they hit the back of the field. Starting passive.
Everflowing Goblet You can heal past your max health at 20 percent efficiency. Starting passive.
Eye of the Beholder 10 percent chance to dodge incoming attacks. Starting passive.
Fleet Feet Increase movement speed by 10 percent and move at full speed while shooting. Starting passive.
Frozen Spike When an enemy is frozen, they emit a chill to nearby enemies that deals 10-20 damage. Starting passive.
Gemspring Every 7-11 rows, spawn a Gemspring. Dealing damage to them causes them to drop an increasing amount of XP. Complete the Smoldering X Depths.
Ghostly Corset Balls go through enemies and deal 20 percent bonus damage when hitting them from the side. Complete the Heavenly X Gates.
Ghostly Shield Balls go through allies and heal them 2 health. Complete the Heavenly X Gates. Requires the player to have a passive that spawns allies.
Golden Bull Every 7-11 rows, spawn a golden bull with 400 health on your side. Golden bulls accrue 10 gold per minute. They also move up the field, blocking and attacking enemies in the way. Complete Snowy X Shores.
Hand Fan Slow down enemies in the same column as you by 50 percent. Complete the Fungal X Forest.
Hand Mirror Projectiles have 50 percent chance to reflect upon hitting you, dealing 20-40 damage if they hit an enemy. Complete the Fungal X Forest.
Healer’s Effigy Every 7-12 rows, spawn a stone healer with 100 health on your side, which heals you 10 health per minute while it’s on the field. Healers are immune to ball damage and move up the field, blocking and attacking enemies in the way. Complete the Snowy X Shores.
Hourglass Balls deal 150 percent damage, but damage decays by 30 percent each time they bounce (minimum 50 percent). Starting passive.
Kiss of Death Charmed enemies have 10 percent chance of dying after recovering. Complete the Heavenly X Gates. Requires the player to have a ball that charms enemies.
Lover’s Quiver Projectiles have a 40 percent chance to heal you for 1 health instead of hurting you. Complete the Gory X Grasslands.
Magic Staff Increase area-of-effect damage by 20 percent. Starting passive.
Magnet Increase range at which you pick up items and catch balls by 1.0 tiles. Starting passive.
Midnight Oil Balls that hit flaming enemies light on fire and deal 10-20 bonus fire damage on the next hit. Starting passive. Requires the player to have a ball that burns enemies.
Pressure Valve Enemies explode on death, dealing 20-30 damage to adjacent enemies. Complete the Bone x Yard.
Protective Charm Gain a shield that blocks the next damage you would receive. Recharges after 60 seconds. Complete the Fungal x Forest.
Radiant Feather Increase ball launch speed by 20 percent, but get knocked back a little each time you shoot a ball. Starting passive.
Reacher’s Spear Increase crit chance to 20 percent when hitting enemies in the same column as you. Starting passive.
Rubber Headband Balls start off at 70 percent speed but increase by 20 percent each bounce (maximum 200 percent). Starting passive.
Ruby Hilted Dagger Increase crit chance to 15 percent when hitting enemies in the back. Starting passive.
Sapphire Hilted Dagger Increase crit chance to 15 percent when hitting enemies on their left side. Starting passive.
Shortbow Increases fire rate by 15 percent. Starting passive.
Silver Blindfold Increases crit chance to 20 percent when hitting blinded enemies. Complete the Liminal X Desert.
Silver Bullet Balls deal 20 percent bonus damage until they hit a wall. Complete the Liminal X Desert.
Slingshot 25 percent chance to launch a baby ball when you pick up a gem. Starting passive.
Spiked Collar Deal 30-50 to enemies the first time you get into their melee attack range. Complete the Fungal x Forest.
Stone Effigy Every 7-12 rows, spawn a stone soldier with 200 health on your side. Stone soldiers are immune to ball damage and move up the field, blocking and attacking enemies in the way. Starting passive.
Traitor’s Cowl Stone allies can now be damaged by your balls, but you heal 2 health when a ball hits one. Complete the Heavenly X Gates. Requires the player to have a passive that spawns stone allies.
Turret Floats around your character and shoots a baby ball at enemies every 2.0 seconds. Starting passive.
Upturned Hatchet Balls deal 80 percent more damage after hitting the back of the field, otherwise damage is reduced by 20 percent. Starting passive.
Vampiric Sword Each kill heals you by 5, but each shot you take deals 2 damage to you. Complete the Liminal X Desert.
Voodoo Doll Curse has a 10 percent chance of killing enemies. Complete the Bone X Yard. Requires the player to have a ball that poisons enemies.
Wagon Wheel Each time a ball hits a wall, it deals 30 percent extra damage on the next hit. Complete the Smoldering X Depths.
War Horn All baby balls deal 20 percent more damage. Starting passive.
Wretched Onion Deal 6-12 damage per second to enemies within 2 tiles. Complete the Fungal Forest.

All Passive Evolutions in Ball x Pit

Similar to how balls can evolve, passive abilities also have different forms, though there are far fewer of them. In Ball x Pit, there are only eight passive evolutions, and players unlock these by combining and evolving specific items.

Odiferous Shell When you touch enemies, they have a 50 percent chance of instantly dying. Fully evolve and fuse Wretched Onion and Breastplate.
Phantom Regalia Balls go through enemies until they hit the back wall. Balls deal 50 percent more damage when going through enemies. Fully evolve and fuse Ghostly Corset and Ethereal Cloak.
Soul Reaver Each kill heals you by 1, and you can heal past your max health at 30 percent efficiency. Fully evolve and fuse Vampiric Sword and Everflowing Goblet.
Tormenters Mask Enemies have a 10 percent chance of dying immediately the first time they detect you. Fully evolve and fuse Spiked Collar and Crown of Thorns.
Wings of the Anointed Balls move 40 percent faster, and you move 20 percent faster. You are no longer affected by environmental hazards on the ground. Fully evolve and fuse Radiant Feather and Fleet Feet.
Deadeye’s Cross Increase critical hit chance by 60 percent. Fully evolve and fuse Diamond Hilted Dagger, Sapphire Hilted Dagger, Ruby Hilted Dagger, and Emerald Hilted Dagger.
