Black Myth: Wukong - How to Increase Drop Rates

As a seasoned gamer with countless hours logged into various games, I must say that Black Myth: Wukong has truly captivated my spirit. The hunt for rare materials and equipment has always been an integral part of the RPG genre, but the grind in this game is something else entirely!

In the game titled “Black Mytih: Wukong“, certain items can only be obtained from particular opponents. The probability of these items dropping is relatively low, causing players to spend significant time attempting to defeat a single opponent multiple times. While there’s no method to eliminate the grinding process entirely, players can obtain gear that increases their chances of discovering items, thereby reducing the time spent hunting for drops.

In other words, to get their hands on the initial gear items, players need to advance significantly within the game, reaching roughly the midpoint, before that happens. Here’s a map showing where you can find both the Curio and Headgear in the game.

How To Get The Golden Carp

In the thrilling world of Webbed Hollow, I found myself venturing into its fourth chapter where, after overcoming Buddha’s Right Hand at the edge of Oblivion Cliff, I crossed a bridge ahead. I then dropped down to the right side twice and continued along the path until I reached a fork. Choosing the left path, I traversed a rope bridge, passing by the eerie hanging cocoons before discovering the Curio that lay hidden there.

Utilize the “Cloud Jump Charm” to traverse the slim bridge safely, as the Cocoons persistently assault you if you don’t.

After exiting the caves, stick to the trail on your left, and eventually, you’ll encounter the Keepers’ Shrine of the Fallen Loong Relief. In front of the shrine, there’s a small open space where a scene unfolds, allowing you to confront the Yellow Loong boss. Defeating the Yellow Loong won’t be a walk in the park, but if you manage, you’ll earn these rewards:

How To Get Skull Of Turtle Treasure

Although this headgear boosts the likelihood of acquiring materials, it’s worth noting that it can also be obtained from a specific Lesser Yaoguai. You’ll first have access to this during the third chapter once you’ve reached the Longevity Road in the Valley of Ecstasy. From the Keeper’s Shrine, make your way towards the statues and continue left until you encounter a wooden Tori gate. Pass through it, and as you near another Tori gate, look to your right where a Turtle Treasure enemy will be visible.

Try to conquer this foe to check if he discards his Hat. If he doesn’t, you can utilize the Incense Trail Charm to transport yourself back to the Sanctuary for another attempt.
