This article contains spoilers from the Solo Leveling series.
2025 has been a fantastic year for fans of Solo Leveling. The return of the second season has been a huge success, expanding the series and exciting viewers. Solo Leveling clearly has a promising future, and we can expect even more exciting projects and growth in the years to come.
Interestingly, a new Solo Leveling game called Solo Leveling Karma was revealed this year. Typically, anime-based games don’t offer much beyond what fans already know, and their quality hasn’t always been great. However, Solo Leveling Karma is different – it has the potential to address a specific issue fans had with the original ending, namely the 27-Year Monarch War.
Solo Leveling Karma Will Add Context To The 27-Year Monarch War
In the second half of Solo Leveling, Sung Jinwoo, now the Shadow Monarch, keeps growing stronger and faces increasingly challenging opponents like other Monarchs. While the action in the series is consistently impressive, some fans have expressed disappointment with the plot point where Jinwoo travels back in time to prevent past losses.
Every time I grow stronger, I feel I lose a part of myself. — Sung Jinwoo, Solo Leveling
To achieve his goal, Jinwoo needs to utilize the Cup of Reincarnation and then defeat all other powerful fighters, completely eliminating them. This process takes him 27 years, during which he must overcome all the Monarchs. It’s unfortunate that the story doesn’t explore this part, as the battles would have been incredibly exciting.
I think the Solo Leveling game is going to be amazing, especially because it lets you actually play as Sung Jinwoo during the 27-Year Monarch War. It sounds like they’re planning unique animated cutscenes that will really fill in the details of that conflict – showing us exactly who Jinwoo battled and how he managed to win. I’m really excited to witness Jinwoo’s development during that time, and it’s possible we’ll even get to see some of his powers that weren’t shown in the original story.
Solo Leveling Fans Can’t Wait For The New Game

This will definitely add more depth to the world of Solo Leveling and help fans enjoy it even more.

Solo Leveling Karma Can Fix The War
Image from Solo Leveling Karma Solo Leveling Karma offers a potentially groundbreaking experience for fans, and might even resolve a key part of the story. Whether it’s considered official isn’t the most important thing. Since the original series is finished and any future installments won’t likely revisit it, this is probably the closest fans will ever get to learning what really happened during the 27-Year Monarch War.
The game isn’t essential to understanding the story of Solo Leveling, which works perfectly well on its own. Still, extra details can be enjoyable. Fans can choose to ignore the game or see it as a bonus addition to the Solo Leveling universe. It’s possible the author will be involved, and fans will likely learn more about that in the future.
You can currently watch 25 episodes of Solo Leveling, divided into two seasons, with the latest season concluding in 2025. It’s available to stream on Crunchyroll. While there’s no news about a third season yet, fans can continue enjoying the story through the original Manhwa.
