7 Anime So Good You’ll Binge Them in a Day

Many popular anime have a huge number of episodes, but most series are much shorter and easier to get into. A lot of fans enjoy watching new episodes each week as they come out. However, we’ve all probably spent a weekend catching up on anime we’ve been meaning to watch for ages!

Many anime fans love to watch multiple episodes at once, sometimes even finishing an entire series over a weekend. But if you’re really hooked, you might want to watch one in a single day! Luckily, there are plenty of great anime that are short enough to enjoy in a day if you have the time. They’re so captivating, you won’t be able to stop until the very end!

Toradora!

I’d recommend Toradora! if you enjoy sweet and relatable romantic comedies. It centers around Ryuji, a genuinely nice guy who unfortunately comes across as intimidating, and Taiga, who has a famously explosive temper. It’s funny because they both secretly like each other’s best friends! They decide to team up and help each other get their crushes to notice them, and naturally, they end up growing closer as they work together.

Toradora! is a really enjoyable romantic comedy filled with memorable scenes. What makes the show special is the connection between Ryuji and Taiga – you’ll be eager to find out what happens with them in every episode.

Beyond the Boundary

Kyoto Animation is known for creating many fantastic anime series, and Beyond the Boundary is one that doesn’t get enough attention. The story begins when Akihito Kanbara is attacked by his classmate, Mirai Kuriyama. Mirai is a warrior whose clan hunts and destroys supernatural creatures called youmu, and Akihito has demonic blood. Despite the surprising circumstances, Akihito convinces Mirai to join the school’s Literary Club, and they become friends. As the youmu become more dangerous, Akihito and Mirai must find a way to protect themselves and others.

I absolutely adore Beyond the Boundary! If you’re familiar with KyoAni, you already know the animation is gorgeous and the whole show just feels really warm and inviting. It’s funny too, but what really grabbed me was how Akihito and Mirai change and grow, both as individuals and together. There’s a lot to enjoy – twelve episodes of the main story, plus a five-episode online series, an OVA, and even a movie that recaps things and continues the story!

Kizumonogatari

The Monogatari series can be quite unique, so if you’re new to it, the Kizumonogatari prequel movies are a great way to get introduced to the story.

Although Kizu takes place before the events of Bakemonogatari, it was released much later. This trilogy explains how Koyomi Araragi became a vampire and how he first met key characters like Meme Oshino, Kiss-Shot Acerola-Orion Heart-Under-Blade (Shinobu), and Tsubasa Hanekawa. With its fast-paced conversations, unique storytelling, and stunning animation, Kizu is a fantastic way to get into the series and see if it’s for you. The trilogy’s total runtime is a little over three and a half hours, but a combined film called Koyomi Vamp offers a shorter, two-hour version.

Takopi’s Original Sin

Few predicted Takopi’s Original Sin would become such a hit. While Solo Leveling and My Hero Academia were expected to be the year’s biggest anime in 2025, Takopi’s unexpectedly captivated fans when it premiered during the summer season.

Takopi’s Original Sin is a deeply emotional anime that isn’t for the faint of heart. However, if you’re okay with some intense themes, it’s a rewarding watch. Plus, with only six episodes, it’s easily binge-worthy in a single day.

Bocchi The Rock!

Bocchi The Rock! is a really funny anime that’s easy to binge-watch in a single day. While it’s primarily a light and comedic show with lots of hilarious moments, it also has surprising depth beyond just the jokes.

The show centers around Bocchi, a high schooler with extreme social anxiety who finds it hard to talk to people. She’s a very talented guitarist, though, and dreams of being in a band. When she finally joins Kessoku Band, she slowly starts to become more confident and forms close friendships with her bandmates.

Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines!

Makeine appears to be a typical romantic comedy, but it offers a fresh perspective. Instead of focusing on the couple falling in love, the story centers on the women who didn’t end up with the hero.

I’d describe Kazuhiko Nukumizu as an ordinary guy, the kind who blends into the background. He sees himself that way, too. But everything changes when he happens to witness his classmate, Anna Yanami, get turned down by someone she really liked. Suddenly, he’s drawn into the lives of Anna and other girls who are going through similar heartbreak. Honestly, ‘Makeine’ is a really enjoyable show – it does something a little different with the usual romantic comedy formula. With season two coming up, it’s a great time to start watching!

The Garden of Sinners Films

While Type-Moon is now famous for the Fate series, their first major work was actually Kinoko Nasu’s The Garden of Sinners light novels. This series centers on Shiki Ryougi, a demon hunter who solves supernatural mysteries with the help of her friends Mikiya Kokutou and Touko Aozaki, who runs a detective agency called Garan no Dou.

If you enjoy the Fate series, you’ll likely love this one, as it has a similar feel to other works by the same creator. Animated by the renowned studio Ufotable from 2007 to 2013, the show features stunning and consistently smooth animation that still looks fantastic. While it’s a longer series, it’s easily binge-worthy and can be finished in a day.
