PlayStation Plus members have a lot to look forward to on Tuesday, December 2nd – it’s expected to be a very busy day for the service! Every month, PlayStation Plus adds new free games to its Essential tier on the first Tuesday, and these games are also available to those with Extra or Premium subscriptions. That means all PlayStation Plus members have something to enjoy!
Typically, PlayStation Plus (PS Plus) offers three free games each month for both PS4 and PS5 owners. For November 2025, the free games are Stray, EA Sports WRC 24, and Totally Accurate Battle Simulator. Stray is a critically acclaimed adventure game where you play as a cat in a futuristic city, EA Sports WRC 24 is a racing game, and Totally Accurate Battle Simulator is a physics-based battle game known for its ragdoll effects and humor. If you’re a PS Plus member and want to claim these games, you have until December 2nd. After that, they’ll be replaced with the next month’s free games.

- Neon White (PS4/PS5)
- Synduality: Echo of Ada (PS5)
- The Outlast Trials (PS4/PS5)
PlayStation Plus subscribers are getting a bonus this December! Instead of the usual three free games, they’ll receive five: Killing Floor 3, LEGO Horizon Adventures, Neon White, Synduality: Echo of Ada, and The Outlast Trials. Neon White and The Outlast Trials are playable on both PS4 and PS5, but the other three games are only available on PS5. This might be frustrating for players who haven’t upgraded to a PS5, and it looks like more games will become exclusive to the newer console in the future.
Sony announced some time ago that PlayStation Plus will shift its focus away from PS4 games beginning in January 2026. While some PS4 titles will still be added to PS Plus in 2026, it will be far fewer than usual, likely only when a game is also released on PS5. Games exclusive to PS4 are very unlikely to be added to any PS Plus subscription level after 2026.
Red Dead Redemption is Also Coming to PS Plus on December 2
Beyond the usual free monthly games, PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium members have another title to anticipate on December 2nd: Red Dead Redemption. This marks the game’s debut on PS5 with enhanced performance, making it the best way to play this popular and highly-rated western.
PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium members will get early access to the game Skate Story in six days. Skate Story, a game where you play as a skateboarding demon, is being added before the usual monthly PS Plus update on December 16th. While the full list of games coming to Extra and Premium on the 16th hasn’t been revealed, PlayStation has announced some games that will be leaving the service that day, so subscribers should check those out before they disappear.
