I’ve been getting great feedback on my game lists, with many people saying they discover new games through them. So, I decided to start sharing a monthly list of the top 10 trending strategy games on Steam. There are so many new releases, sequels, and indie hits doing well right now, it seems like a natural fit – and I hope you’ll enjoy it! This month’s list features some of the most exciting and innovative strategy games released all year, covering everything from large-scale empire building to fast-paced tactical combat and creative city design.

I don’t usually cover games like There Are No Orcs, but I think many of you will find it interesting, especially considering its low price (under $10) and positive reviews. This new game on Steam is unique, combining elements of real-time strategy, roguelikes, auto-battlers, and tile-building into a quick and highly replayable experience. You select one of three factions and a commander, then build structures that automatically create units for each attempt. It’s gaining popularity due to its affordability, strong start, and the rewarding feeling of discovering powerful combinations and strategies. Players who like experimenting will especially enjoy it.
8 – Super Fantasy Kingdom
You might think you’re looking at a classic Super Nintendo game, but this is Super Fantasy Kingdom! It’s a challenging game where you rebuild a destroyed kingdom during the day and defend it from hordes of monsters at night. Published by the popular team at Hooded Horse, it features a really unique art style and has just launched into Early Access. Be warned: it’s one of those incredibly addictive strategy games that makes time fly – you’ll be hooked on short, repeating gameplay sessions with long-term progress, and suddenly it’ll be 3 AM before you know it!
