Ranging from space exploration simulations to titles initially exclusive to consoles, there’s no shortage of engaging games to explore this month!

Star Trucker

  • Release Date: September 3
  • Platforms: PC, Xbox Series X|S

Among the standout games during Steam Next Fest, Star Trucker captured our attention with its intriguing blend of science fiction and the truck simulator genre. Unlike transporting goods from a Californian town to a Texas hub, we’re now traversing the cosmos in elegance, piloting a jet-propelled truck cab that occasionally needs maintenance. And get this – it’s fully customizable! Star Trucker seems poised to stir things up in the transportation and hauling simulation scene!

The Casting of Frank Stone

  • Release Date: September 3
  • Platforms: PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S

As a devoted fan, I must admit, I never anticipated that the Dead by Daylight universe would expand into several spin-offs. But here we stand, brimming with anticipation for the debut from developers at Supermassive Games. This studio, renowned for its interactive horror narratives like The Quarry, is crafting a captivating and immersive story-driven adventure in The Casting of Frank Stone. It’s a chilling horror game that invites friends to delve into the enigma surrounding an infamous serial killer.

Astro Bot

  • Release Date: September 6
  • Platforms: PlayStation 5

As a gamer, stepping into the immersive world of Astro Bot on my PlayStation 5, I’m blown away by the breathtaking journey it takes me on. From lush jungles to towering volcanoes, each level offers fresh challenges and stunning vistas. Along the way, I discover powerful new abilities that help me navigate this vibrant world, all while rescuing my stranded crewmates. What makes this PS5 exclusive even more exciting is the introduction of brand-new enemies and obstacles to overcome. Yet, it doesn’t stray too far from the platforming mechanics that won so many hearts – a perfect blend of nostalgia and innovation!

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2

  • Release Date: September 9
  • Platforms: PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S

In one game, just about everything that’s a fan favorite can be found. Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 gives players the chance to don the reinforced boots of an Ultramarine, armed with a variety of close-combat and long-range weapons like the legendary Chainsword, Thunder Hammer, and Heavy Bolters. As we march, hack, and vanquish Tyranids across several planets, it’s clear there’s plenty to enjoy in Space Marine 2! This game offers a full single-player storyline, cooperative missions, and player versus player mode, making it a dream come true for Warhammer fans.

Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster

  • Release Date: September 18
  • Platforms: PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S

I’m back, folks, with a fresh new voice actor, in the upcoming Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster. This remaster feels more like a remake, offering upgraded graphics, modern controls, user-friendly features, and full voice acting all around. But don’t let that fool you – while there have been massive improvements on the technical side, the core gameplay loop of exploring the Willamette Mall, saving civilians, and battling psychopaths amidst a zombie apocalypse remains intact!

God of War: Ragnarok

  • Release Date: September 19
  • Platforms: PC

God of War launching on PC was a most welcome surprise, but it left us eager for more. Thankfully, Sony enjoys money, so it wishes to capitalize on the PC gaming community by releasing more of its console-exclusive titles. In September, we’ll see God of War: Ragnarok, the continuation of Kratos and Atreus’ story. The PC port features unlocked frame rates, high-fidelity graphics, enhanced lightning, upscaling, and ultrawide support on day one!

Frostpunk 2

  • Release Date: September 20
  • Platforms: PC

For numerous players, Frostpunk stood out as a unique city-building genre title. Its challenging strategy gameplay required players to construct a society after a global catastrophe that plunged the Earth into an icy freeze. The upcoming sequel intends to enrich and develop the formula that captured our hearts (and many others) by incorporating fresh mechanics, novel settings, and advancing the narrative by three decades. It’s all set for release in September!
