Hytale has announced the PC specifications needed to run the game, which will be available in early access starting January 13, 2026.
Hytale System Requirements
Hytale needs a 64-bit processor and operating system to run.
Here’s a breakdown of the system requirements for different experiences:
Minimum: Aim for 30 or more frames per second (FPS) at 1080p resolution with the graphics settings set to Low.
Recommended: Aim for 60+ FPS at 1080p resolution with the graphics settings set to High.
* Creator/Streamer: A stable frame rate while capturing and streaming high-quality video at 1440p resolution.
These requirements are based on testing with a variety of hardware, from basic integrated graphics to powerful recording setups.
Minimum Requirements (1080p @ 30 FPS)
Here are the system requirements:
Operating System: Windows 10 64-bit (version 1809) or Windows 11
Processor: Intel Core i5-7500 or AMD Ryzen 3 1200 (or comparable)
Memory (RAM):
Singleplayer with a dedicated graphics card: 8 GB
Singleplayer with integrated graphics: 12 GB
Multiplayer only: 8 GB
Graphics Card (GPU):
Integrated: Intel UHD Graphics 620 or AMD Radeon Vega 3
Dedicated: NVIDIA GTX 900 Series, AMD Radeon 400 Series, or Intel Arc A-Series
Note: Future updates will require support for Vulkan 1.3.
Storage: A SATA SSD with at least 20 GB of free space.
Network: A 2 Mbps internet connection is needed for multiplayer (compatible with UDP/QUIC).
For optimal performance, we recommend setting the view distance to 192 blocks and closing any unnecessary programs. Benchmarks with Intel HD Graphics 630 showed around 30-34 FPS at 1080p.*
Recommended Requirements (1080p @ 60 FPS)
Here are the minimum system requirements:
Operating System: 64-bit Windows 10 (version 1809) or Windows 11
Processor: Intel Core i5-10400 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 (or comparable)
Memory: 16 GB of RAM
Graphics Card:
Integrated: Intel Iris Xe Graphics or AMD Radeon 660M
Dedicated: NVIDIA GTX 900 Series, AMD Radeon 400 Series, or Intel Arc A-Series
Note: Future updates will require support for Vulkan 1.3.
Storage: SSD with at least 20 GB of free space
Network: A 8 Mbps internet connection is needed for multiplayer gaming, and it should support UDP or QUIC.
Storage Requirements
As a Hytale player, I’ve been really impressed with how massive the worlds can get – they basically have no limit! I’ve spent a lot of time exploring, and here’s what I’ve found regarding storage. Just keep in mind, the more you build and customize, the more space the game will need. Here’s a breakdown of what you can expect:
The game itself takes up around 8 GB of space to install.
When it comes to your saved games in Exploration mode:
A world that’s about 5000×5000 blocks will be roughly 661 MB.
Each chunk of the world (32×32 blocks) takes up about 27 KB.
Recording / Streamer Requirements (1440p @ 60 FPS)
These recommendations are for players who want to record, stream, or create Hytale content without losing performance. We’re focusing on maintaining consistent frametimes—smoothness—even when the game is under heavy load, like during large battles, complex building, or when playing in singleplayer with a server running.
Recommended Specs:
Operating System: 64-bit Windows 10 (version 1809) or Windows 11
Processor: Intel Core i7-10700K (or similar) or AMD Ryzen 9 3800X (or similar)
Memory (RAM): 32 GB
Graphics Card (GPU): NVIDIA RTX 30 Series, AMD Radeon RX 7000 Series, or Intel Arc A-series
Note: Newer graphics cards deliver much better video quality, especially for livestreaming. If your hardware supports it, we highly recommend using AV1 or HEVC for recording.
Storage: NVMe SSD with at least 10% (or 50 GB) of free space. For best results, use a separate drive for video recording.*
We’ve seen performance of around 400 FPS at 3840×1440 resolution with a view distance of 768 blocks in singleplayer while recording in AV1 using a high-end setup (AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D, NVIDIA RTX 5080, 2×32 GB DDR5-6000). This level of hardware isn’t required, but it can help creators maintain 60+ FPS at high resolutions during recording.
