Pokemon Legends: Z-A DLC Officially Reveals New Mega Lucario

Okay, so I’m super hyped because the new trailer for Pokemon Legends: Z-A‘s Mega Dimension DLC just dropped, and it showed off a brand new Mega Evolution for Lucario! The design looks amazing, and they revealed its type. It’s crazy to think Pokemon Legends: Z-A only came out about seven weeks ago, and the DLC is already hitting next week, on December 10th. It’ll cost $30, but from what I’ve seen in the leaks, it seems like this DLC is a bit smaller than the expansions we got in Gen 9 – like The Teal Mask and The Indigo Disk.

Since Pokemon Legends: Z-A came out, fans have been discovering hints in the game’s code about a major DLC called Mega Dimension. These hints suggested new Mega Evolutions for Heatran, Darkrai, and Zeraora. We officially learned about Zeraora’s Mega Evolution in a trailer on November 19th, which also strongly implied the other leaked Mega Evolutions – including Mega Chimecho and Baxcalibur – were real. The recent reveal of Mega Lucario further solidifies those initial leaks.

Say Hello to Pokemon Legends: Z-A’s New Mega Lucario

In the upcoming DLC for Pokemon Legends: Z-A, Mega Lucario belongs to the returning character Korrina. This isn’t new – she used Mega Lucario in the original Pokemon games from Generation 6. However, she’s now using a different version of the Mega Evolution. Before its official reveal, many fans thought this Mega Lucario might have a new type pairing, but it’s confirmed to be Fighting and Steel, just like before.

Details about Mega Zeraora, including its stats and Pokedex entry, were accidentally revealed for the upcoming Pokemon Legends: Z-A DLC, but this was unusual. Fans are now eager to learn about the new Mega Lucario. It’s expected to be significantly different from the original Mega Lucario, as its appearance is quite distinct.

The appearance of Mega Lucario Z strongly suggests that Mega Absol and Mega Garchomp will also receive new forms in Pokemon Legends: Z-A. Leaks for the DLC hinted at updated Mega Evolutions for these three Pokemon, despite them already having Mega Evolutions.
