Naruto Characters Stronger Than Sasuke Uchiha

From the very start of the series, Sasuke Uchiha has been a central figure alongside Naruto, which makes sense given his important role as a main character. It was obvious early on that Sasuke was a naturally gifted ninja who simply needed the right mentorship to unlock his full abilities.

Sasuke was fortunate to have skilled teachers who recognized his potential and helped him develop into an incredibly powerful ninja. By the time the Fourth Great Ninja War began, he was considered one of the strongest fighters in the Naruto universe. However, despite his amazing abilities, several characters in the series are powerful enough to defeat him.

First on the list is Naruto Uzumaki. Though he and Sasuke were rivals, Naruto never held any ill will towards him. He genuinely wanted to be friends with Sasuke, but Sasuke was only focused on gaining power. This desire for power in Sasuke actually motivated Naruto to become stronger himself.

At first, Naruto couldn’t control the powerful Nine-Tails spirit within him, but with intense training, he eventually learned to harness its full strength. During the Fourth Great Ninja War, Naruto obtained the Six Paths Chakra, granting him access to unique abilities like the truth-seeking balls. With this power, he was able to defeat formidable opponents including Madara, Kaguya, and ultimately, even Sasuke.

Momoshiki Otsutsuki

Momoshiki Otsutsuki is a major antagonist in the Boruto: Naruto Next Generations series. He first appeared in the Boruto movie, and was later featured in both the manga and anime. Being a member of the Otsutsuki clan, Momoshiki was incredibly powerful, far exceeding the strength of any of the village leaders (Kage).

Momoshiki had the powerful Rinnegan, allowing him to absorb and then unleash ninjutsu with increased strength. He also had a massive chakra supply, enabling him to fight for extended periods. During his battle with Naruto and Sasuke, Momoshiki clearly overpowered them both. Sasuke, fighting alone, would have been easily defeated.

Kaguya Otsutsuki

Known As The Rabbit Goddess

Kaguya Otsutsuki is famous as the source of chakra on Earth. Because she possessed the Ten Tails within her, she had an immense amount of chakra. This allowed her to perform powerful techniques, including Amenominaka, which let her travel between dimensions, and the Expansive Truth-Seeking Ball, a devastating attack capable of destroying the world.

Kaguya possessed incredibly powerful abilities, including a technique called All Killing Ash Bones that instantly defeated anyone it touched. She was also resistant to almost all ninja techniques, making her a tremendously challenging opponent. Considering her overwhelming power, there was no way Sasuke could have won against her.

Isshiki Otsutsuki

Isshiki Otsutsuki was a new character introduced in the Boruto series. He originally worked with Kaguya, but she ultimately betrayed him. Badly injured, Isshiki was forced to possess the body of Jigen. While inside Jigen, he could finally demonstrate his full strength, and fans saw a preview of his abilities when he fought against both Naruto and Sasuke in Boruto.

Isshiki possessed the Kokugan, a unique ability that gave him two incredibly strong powers. One, Sukunahikona, let him drastically reduce his own size and the size of anything he touched, making him very hard to hit. The other, Daikokuten, allowed him to trap these shrunken objects in another dimension. Despite fighting Isshiki together, Naruto and Sasuke were unable to overcome his power.

Ada

Created To Counter Jigen’s Power

Ada is Amado’s daughter, created with the specific goal of defeating Jigen. He genetically engineered her, enhancing her body with ninja weaponry and DNA from Shibai Otsutsuki, resulting in extraordinary power.

Ada has two incredibly powerful abilities. First, the Senrigan lets her see everything happening now or that has happened before. Second, she can magically control anyone, regardless of who they are, except for members of the Otsutsuki clan and her own family. These powers combined make Ada a nearly unbeatable opponent in a fight.

Hagoromo Otsutsuki

Hagoromo Otsutsuki, often called the Sage of Six Paths, was a famous character in the Naruto story. As the son of Kaguya Otsutsuki, he was naturally gifted with incredibly powerful chakra. After opposing his mother, Hagoromo went on to become

Hagoromo possessed the incredible power of Creation of All Things, allowing him to instantly bring anything into existence. As a Rinnegan user, he was also capable of performing all the unique techniques linked to this powerful eye.

Shibai Otsutsuki

The God Of The Otsutsuki Clan

Attained godhood after consuming multiple chakra fruits
Could use special techniques called Shinjutsu

Shibai Otsutsuki is unique among his clan, being the only one known to have become a god. He achieved this by repeatedly consuming chakra fruits and using his Karma to resurrect himself, eventually reaching godhood through this cyclical process.

Shibai Otsutsuki was an incredibly powerful being, though little is known about him. He possessed the ability to foresee the future and control the weather, summoning storms and lightning. Unusually, he didn’t need to use hand seals to perform any of his techniques.
