This week, Game Rant readers surprised us with their poll responses, overwhelmingly choosing games that aren’t constantly updated with new content or recently released. This makes picking a single most popular game tricky, as the choices range from well-loved single-player experiences like Skyrim and Red Dead Redemption 2, to older retro titles, unique indie games, and those timeless classics players revisit again and again.
It’s no surprise that ARC Raiders is currently the most popular game in our poll, continuing its strong performance on Steam. Given the number of new and established shooting games released this year, it’s also expected to see titles like Battlefield 6, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, and Fortnite โ which has been boosted by recent updates โ also performing well.
Interestingly, Where Winds Meet has become surprisingly popular, despite not getting much attention before its release โ its free-to-play format seems to be a big draw. As for Marvel Rivals, while it’s not as dominant as when it first launched, the addition of a new PvE zombies mode, along with the characters Gambit and Rogue, is bringing players back for more.
Now that the weekend is over and the holidays are approaching, let’s get back to work! Luckily, all our favorite games will still be there when we need a break. With the recent poll completed, we want to know: what multiplayer game do you think is the best of the year?
