After an eight-year wait since it was first announced, fans will finally be able to play Metroid Prime 4: Beyond on December 4th. This release caps off a fantastic year for Nintendo. While the game will be available on the original Switch, the version for the upcoming Switch 2 will offer noticeably improved performance and compatibility with the new Joy-Con 2 mouse controls. For the best possible experience, the Switch 2 version is the recommended choice.
Reviews for Metroid Prime 4 are in, and the game has received a good overall score of 82 on OpenCritic. While reviewers generally agree it’s a fun adventure featuring Samus Aran, many feel it doesn’t quite reach the high bar set by previous Metroid Prime games.

Octopath Traveler 0 is a new game that serves as a prequel to the popular Octopath Traveler series from Square Enix. It’s packed with content, offering over 100 hours of gameplay for fans. This installment introduces a large roster of characters and a unique town-building feature, which should help it differentiate itself from previous games. While it’s too early to say definitively how good Octopath Traveler 0 is, the previous games in the series were very well-received by critics, both earning scores in the mid-80s.
Although a version of Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds has been playable on the Switch 2 for some time, this new, optimized release promises improved performance and graphics.
