As a dedicated follower of Star Wars Outlaws, I’m thrilled to embark on my very first mission: False Flag. This exciting journey finds me at the controls of the Trailblazer! Funded by Danka, my objective in this adventure is to sneak into an Imperial Fuel Station and make off with some top-secret intel and a vital part for my spaceship. The task itself isn’t overly challenging, but the catch is that I must tread very carefully to ensure I don’t set off any alarms. Stealth is key in this mission!
This emphasis on discretion has left some gamers scratching their heads about how to complete the False Flag quest, especially how to access the data vault while a stormtrooper stands guard. The following Star Wars Outlaws guide will walk you through the process with ease.

In the “False Flag” operation, your goal is to secretly acquire crucial starship pieces for the Trailblazer from an Imperial Fuel Depot. To accomplish this, you must sneak into the secure compound, navigate through its defenses, and get to the data vault. Throughout this process, you’ll come across a captive named Bonsok who will aid you in return for his release. Consequently, not only do you need to retrieve the starship components, but you must also safely escort Bonsok out of the Imperial Depot to successfully complete the False Flag mission.
Main Objectives of the False Flag Quest
- Recover the cargo of Sansanna.
- Find the data vault.
- Escort Bonsok off Station.
- Reach the Trailblazer and escape.
Here’s how to complete each step.
Recover the Cargo of Sansanna
Upon gaining access to Toshara’s area, make your way towards the designated freighter with a cross on it. Disintegrate its goods to dislodge the crates, and subsequently, loot them. Be prepared to ward off any aggressors that assault, and carry on to the Imperial Fuel Depot.
Find the Data Vault
Within the Imperial Fuel Station, take out the first security personnel and locate the levitating sled near the main entrance, which resembles a hoverboard with containers. Turn on the sled, utilize it for protection, and trail behind it until you get to the data vault.
1. After finding a terminal containing details about the vault, use the vent to gain access to an adjoining room. Once there, step onto the rising platform to ascend to the upper level. Overpower the personnel and open the door to the control room’s command center.
Follow the trail towards a locked door. Use the Data Spike to unlock it and take out any guards inside. In the following zone, have Nix set off the explosives to get rid of all stormtroopers. Lastly, trigger the moving panels for cover and navigate them to cross over, where you can hack into a computer.
Escort Bonsok Off Station
From the control room, summon the freight elevator and make your way down using the ladder. Upon arrival, you’ll find Bonsok on a movable sled. Activate this sled and use it as shield to dodge the security personnel. Later, Bonsok and you will go separate ways, at which point you must locate him by moving through the ventilation system.
1. Brace yourself for a battle against a pack of stormtroopers aiming to seize Bonsok’s sled. Stay vigilant for any soldiers who might try to activate the alarm, as doing so could compromise our objective. If Bonsok’s sled becomes jammed, take out the nearby energy core to set it free.
Reach the Trailblazer
In the end, clear out the remaining stormtroopers and guide Bonsok’s sled into the Trailblazer for a swift exit from the Imperial Fuel Station. As we leave, be prepared to face enemy starships. You can choose to battle them or evade them to successfully finish the mission.
