When delving into chapter 4 of Black Myth: Wukong, you’ll come across a concealed location known as “Purple Cloud Mountain.” The principal foe in this region is the Duskveil. However, there exists another boss that can be confronted prior to defeating the Duskveil.
In the game Black Myth: Wukong, the second boss is named “Scorpionlord” and is known for being quite tough. Defeating the Scorpionlord calls for agile dodging and swift decision-making, as he deals significant damage and has the potential to end your life in a flash if you’re not cautious. Moreover, several of his attacks cause poison, making a lengthy battle into a battle of endurance that may prove too challenging to survive.
Preparations
Before engaging in combat with the Scorpionlord, consider arming yourself with Rock Solid, which you should also aim to max out through skill points if feasible. Typically, he’ll respond with a whirling spin, rapidly twirling his tail while rolling on the ground. He performs three spins on the ground before sweeping his tail through the air, so either leap over the ground spins and strike during the aerial attack or roll through the ground spins and retaliate during the sweep. The Scorpionlord may repeat both the charging attack and the spin attack throughout the battle, so consistently employ the same strategy when he attempts them and capitalize on his vulnerabilities afterward.
As the Scorpionlord initiates a flip, swiftly move left or right to dodge his powerful overhead tail slam. Subsequently, you can leap over or weave through the incoming horizontal swipe, followed by a quick thrusting strike that requires a roll to the side for evasion. The Scorpionlord may also go directly to the horizontal swipe or the thrusting strike when not engaged in an attack, so stay alert. When his claw is raised downward and starts glowing, he’s readying a rapid flurry of claw attacks. To dodge this, it’s best to backpedal and sprint away since the attack doesn’t have a long range.
He can execute a powerful claw swipe, twirl into another claw swipe, then hammer the ground with a punch and slam, concluding with a tail slam overhead. To evade these claw swipes, duck back. As he performs his ground punch, slam, and tail slam, dodge around him to position yourself for a counterattack. When the Scorpionlord charges at you while dragging his claw on the ground, sidestep either way as he approaches closely to avoid an overhead swing. To put it simply, this strategy allows you to evade his attacks and sets up an opportunity for you to strike back.
