Escape from Tarkov’s ‘Good Ending’ Has Been Unlocked, and It Almost Suggests a Sequel

Escape from Tarkov has been a leading extraction shooter for years, and in mid-November, it finally launched its complete 1.0 version. Since then, the game’s most skilled players have been tackling the brand-new story campaign, which is considered the biggest test of skill for Tarkov enthusiasts.

Earlier this week, a streamer named Tigz was the first person globally to finish the game. Soon after, others followed, but a Chinese streamer recently became the first to unlock the ‘Savior’ ending, which is considered the most difficult one in the game.

This marked the initial unlock achieved through player-versus-player combat. The first player-versus-environment unlock, officially recognized by Battlestate Games as a world first, was completed by a player known as Tsukinogi.

Escape from Tarkov’s Best Ending Has Been Secured

A Chinese streamer named Youmoxiangche, known as ‘NeverPlayScav’ in the game, uploaded a one-hour video to BiliBili showing gameplay from their point of view.

This video shows a difficult and exciting match in Escape from Tarkov, where the player is trying to achieve what many consider the best of the game’s four possible endings: Survivor, Fallen, Debtor, and Savior.

The most unfavorable endings are “Debtor” and “Fallen,” while “Survivor” is considered an average result. The best possible ending is “Savior.” Achieving this involves successfully reaching the ZUBR Boat after escaping through Terminal and battling Scavs, RUAF soldiers, and members of the Black Faction in a player-versus-environment combat scenario.

When the group boards the boat, the captain attempts to kill them, but a helpful RUAF soldier intervenes, killing the captain and confirming they are now safe with only allies on board. While going up on deck for a cigarette, they see more bodies being thrown into the river in Tarkov.

Just then, jets flew over and dropped what looked like a nuclear bomb on Tarkov. The soldier joked that they’d gotten out just in the nick of time. As the screen went black, the player received a special ring, and the Russian soldier said it was now up to them to choose their own destiny.

The ending hints at a possible continuation of the story. The RUAF team and the main character drive away as the sun sets, and a soldier remarks:

The important thing is that we survived, and now it’s time to expose TerraGroup and reveal what they’ve been hiding. Everyone will finally learn the truth.

From here on, we decide our own fate.

Battlestate Games has plans for more games set in the Escape from Tarkov world, and now that the full version of the game is released, they’ll be adding downloadable content. Could this recent news give us a hint of what that content – and those future games – will be?
