Wreckreation Developer Facing Company-Wide Redundancies

Three Fields Entertainment, the team behind the new game Wreckreation, is facing closure. They’ve announced that all employees have been notified of potential job losses.

On Thursday morning, CEO Fiona Sperry shared a detailed post on LinkedIn addressing the current situation.

Wreckreation came out in October, published by THQ Nordic, which is part of Embracer Group. However, it seems the publisher hasn’t provided much support for the game, according to recent communication.

Sperry stated that Three Fields Entertainment doesn’t expect to make money from game sales for quite some time. The studio has been covering its own costs throughout 2025 and for all the additional content released after the game launched.

Sperry explained that without continued funding and support from their publisher, the studio couldn’t keep operating as it was. He added that making the decision to close was incredibly difficult.

This is a very sad time for everyone involved. It’s especially difficult because we had so many exciting plans for the game – new features, improvements, and creative ideas, many of which you can see in the video we’re releasing today. We truly believed these additions would have made Wreckreation even better and helped its community thrive.

Sperry hopes that by sharing their team’s recent progress publicly, they can attract funding or the attention of another company.

Even if the game isn’t ultimately successful, we want it to be remembered as proof of our ambitious ideas and the hard work, dedication, and talent of our small team,” she explained. “I’m confident in the game’s potential and the incredible skill of everyone who created it.”
