Running With Scissors Cancels Postal: Bullet Paradise Within A Day

Running With Scissors has cancelled their new game, Postal: Bullet Paradise, just a day after announcing it.

On December 3rd, the publisher unveiled a new shooting game from Goonswarm Games, describing it as a “bullet-heaven shooter.” However, the announcement trailer received criticism from fans who alleged that it included assets created using artificial intelligence.

That quickly led to a decision to pull the plug on the game just over a day after it was announced.

Vince Desi, founder of Running With Scissors, announced the decision in a statement, explaining that it followed a wave of negative feedback from fans of the game.

Since announcing POSTAL: Bullet Paradise – a game Running With Scissors intended to publish, but didn’t create – we’ve received a lot of negative feedback from our POSTAL community. Many believe parts of the game were made using AI, and they’re concerned this has harmed our brand and reputation.

We’ve always been open and honest with our community, and we always will be. Unfortunately, we’ve lost confidence in the team working on this particular project, so we’ve decided to stop it. We do have many exciting new things in the works, some of which you’re already aware of, and others that are still a surprise.

Since 1996, we at Running With Scissors have considered our fans to be a core part of what we do. We’re dedicated to delivering great games for the millions of people who enjoy the POSTAL series. We appreciate the chance to create the games we’re passionate about, and we’re excited to keep working on new projects and updates planned for 2026 and beyond. Stay tuned – we can’t wait to show you what’s next!

Running With Scissors is creating an updated version of their 2003 game, Postal 2, called Postal 2 Redux. They successfully funded the project through Kickstarter, raising over $638,000 – far exceeding their $250,000 goal. This is the second time the developers have revamped the Postal series, following the release of Postal Redux in 2016.
