Escape from Tarkov now has a true ending! After ten years of development, players can finally complete the game and ‘escape’ Tarkov, as promised. This new feature arrived with the 1.0 update on November 15th, introducing a campaign with a definitive conclusion.
Just this week, the first player successfully finished the game Escape from Tarkov, and now others are starting to do it too. Players have recently discovered something surprising: Battlestate Games appears to have been secretly manipulating the game in a complex and unexpected way.
Don’t Go With a Full Team
Escape from Tarkov streamer Axel recently shared a surprising discovery on social media: what happens when a full team completes the game’s final mission. After successfully battling through Terminal together, the entire squad is met with a shocking and unexpected message.
The Zubr boat isn’t big enough for everyone who needs to evacuate. It will start transporting people once only three remain on the dock.
In a four or five-player game of Escape from Tarkov, someone is inevitably going to be eliminated. Since the game allows you to instantly turn on your allies, the question becomes: who decides who survives when it comes down to the final moments?

This perfectly shows how relentlessly difficult Battlestate Games can make their hardcore shooter, often called the most challenging game out there.
So, I saw Axel’s post and immediately got it. Look, Tarkov is brutal – it’s all about surviving, and that means sometimes you have to take down other players. There’s this one achievement for escaping that basically forces you to eliminate a friend, and honestly, it’s a tough pill to swallow. It could seriously mess up a friendship, but that’s just Tarkov for you.
