Pokemon Legends: Z-A Players Can Claim Some Free Items Now

Players of Pokémon Legends: Z-A can get free in-game items now that the Mega Dimension DLC has been announced. The Pokémon Company has released a code that lets you claim these items online. You’ll have plenty of time to use the code, as it’s valid until March 31, 2027.

December is shaping up to be an exciting month for Pokemon Legends: Z-A. On December 10th, the Mega Dimension DLC will be released. This expansion is designed for players who have finished the main game, so make sure you’ve progressed that far if you’re interested. The new area, called Hyperspace Lumiose, is connected to the Mythical Pokemon Hoopa, which can create wormholes to other dimensions. The DLC will also introduce new Mega Evolutions, including Mega Lucario Z and Mega Baxcalibur, for players to collect. You can pre-order the Mega Dimension DLC now on the Nintendo eShop for $29.99, and it will be available for both the original Switch and the upcoming Switch 2 versions of Pokemon Legends: Z-A.

All Available Pokemon Legends: Z-A Mystery Gifts (December 5, 2025)

  • 5 Max Revives/10 Ultra Balls/10 Full Restores – PREPAR1NG (expires March 31, 2027)
  • Diancite – N/A (Get via Internet, no expiration date)
  • Mewtwonite X and Mewtwonite Y – N/A (Get via Internet, no expiration date)
  • Ralts with Gardevoirite – N/A (Get via Internet, expires February 28, 2026)

Before the release of the Mega Dimension expansion for Pokemon Legends: Z-A, players can get a free item pack through a special download. Once you’ve unlocked Mystery Gift in the game, use the code PREPAR1NG to receive five Max Revives, ten Ultra Balls, and ten Full Restores. You can buy Ultra Balls and Full Restores at Pokemon Centers in Lumiose City, but Max Revives are harder to come by – you can only get them through certain quests or as rare drops. This pack saves you 21,000 Poke Dollars, as that’s the combined cost of the Ultra Balls and Full Restores. Players have until March 31, 2027, to claim this Mystery Gift bundle.

The new Mystery Gift in Pokemon Legends: Z-A will probably be very useful when playing the Mega Dimension DLC. Since Pokemon in Hyperspace Lumiose can now exceed the usual level cap of 100, the Full Restores and Max Revives from the gift will help you during your adventures. Plus, Ultra Balls will be essential for catching the special Pokemon—like Chimecho, Golisopod, and Annihilape—that trainers find in the DLC.

Pokemon Trainers Should Claim These Mystery Gifts As Well

Players can get free Mega Stones online. If you bought Pokemon Legends: Z-A before February 28, 2026, you can receive a Level 5 Ralts holding a Gardevoirite. Mega Stones for Diancie and Mewtwo are also available as free gifts, and they don’t expire. Beyond just getting the Stones, trainers can complete side quests to battle and catch Mewtwo and Diancie. However, both of these legendary Pokemon are quite strong, appearing at Level 70. So, Pokemon Legends: Z-A players will need to be patient, a bit lucky, and have some Ultra Balls ready to catch them.

You need a Nintendo Switch Online subscription to participate in ranked battles in Pokemon Legends: Z-A, but it’s not required to receive Mystery Gifts. If you’re planning to explore the new Mega Dimension and catch returning Pokemon in Hyperspace Lumiose, be sure to use all the Mystery Gifts available to you. With 2026 approaching quickly, it’s still unknown what other Mystery Gifts The Pokemon Company might offer in future updates for Pokemon Legends: Z-A.
