Court Denies Cheat Sellers Appeal Over $4.3 Million Win to Bungie

The request for a retrial by the cheat provider, AimJunkies, was denied concerning the $4.3 million penalty imposed on them by Bungie in May.

This year, Bungie successfully fought a lawsuit against AimJunkies, a cheat provider, who was found guilty of violating copyrights, trademarks, and other rights. The jury in Seattle ruled in favor of Bungie, resulting in a $4.3 million settlement that includes damages and fees.

Following an initial ruling against them, AimJunkies attempted to contest the decision and request a retrial, but both attempts were denied. As things currently stand, the court of appeal has upheld the $4.3 million arbitration award. The rejection of their appeal and the denial for a new trial. This refusal to grant a new trial or retrials, unfortunately, means that Bungie can now proceed with collecting its awarded amount.

According to the AimJunkies website, the cheat provider still provides cheats to over 100 other different games.

Meanwhile, Bungie continues with its development on its next game, Marathon, which is scheduled to release sometime in 2025.
