Demon Slayer: Zenitsu’s Most OP Moments, Ranked

SPOILER WARNING: This contains spoilers for the Infinity Castle and Sunrise Countdown Arcs

Most shows have at least one character that fans either love or hate, and Demon Slayer is no exception. While the majority of the characters are well-liked, Zenitsu definitely gets some criticism. He’s a valuable part of the group and develops a lot throughout the series, but it’s understandable why some viewers find his behavior annoying.

Zenitsu is often seen as a bit of a scaredy-cat and tries too hard to impress girls, which doesn’t always make him popular with anime fans. However, he has some truly awesome scenes throughout Demon Slayer that show his strength and potential. Looking back at the whole series, these are the moments where Zenitsu really shines.

Protecting Nezuko From Inosuke

Inosuke and Zenitsu didn’t become friends easily. They have very different personalities, but it was impressive that Zenitsu confronted the much more forceful Inosuke soon after they met. Inosuke detected Nezuko inside her box, and thinking she was a demon, tried to attack her, but Zenitsu intervened.

Even though Zenitsu knew Nezuko was a demon, he still trusted Tanjiro and bravely stepped in to protect her when Inosuke attacked. He took a lot of damage during the fight, but he didn’t give up, proving his strength. While it wasn’t about defeating a demon, this moment really showed what Zenitsu was capable of.

Helping Out in the Fight Against Enmu

Enmu initially presented a difficult fight for Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Zenitsu. His power to control dreams was unlike anything they’d faced before, but they ultimately overcame it through teamwork. While Tanjiro and Inosuke usually lead the charge, Zenitsu really surprised everyone with his strength and skill during this battle.

Surprisingly, putting Zenitsu to sleep backfired on Enmu. While asleep, Zenitsu’s natural reflexes took over, making him a surprisingly tough opponent. He not only saved the passengers on the Mugen Train, but also helped Nezuko for the second time.

Defeating the Tongue Demon in the Tsuzumi Mansion

This battle marks a significant moment for Zenitsu, giving viewers a first look at his hidden abilities. While exploring the Tsuzumi Mansion with Shoichi, they’re ambushed by the Tongue Demon, and Zenitsu doesn’t handle it well. He’s clearly scared and ineffective, ultimately fainting from fear. Surprisingly, this actually turns out to be a good thing for both of them.

Zenitsu is currently asleep, but even so, he’s fighting the Tongue Demon entirely on instinct. He quickly disables the demon by cutting out its tongue, then finishes it off with a decisive blow. This surprising display showed fans a glimpse of Zenitsu’s potential power if he could overcome his weaknesses.

Taking on the Son Spider Demon

The battle at Mount Natagumo contained some truly terrifying moments. Zenitsu, unsurprisingly, was incredibly frightened when he faced one of the monstrous Spider Family demons. This particular demon, the Son Spider, seemed to relish tormenting Zenitsu, both verbally and by injecting him with a poison that would turn him into a spider. Fortunately for Zenitsu, the demon’s power also put him into a deep sleep, saving him from a gruesome fate… again.

Just when the Son Spider Demon believes he has the upper hand, Zenitsu suddenly attacks, surprising him completely. Although the Son Spider Demon appeared strong beforehand, Zenitsu’s amazing speed proves too much. The demon quickly goes from confident to scared and attempts to escape, allowing Zenitsu to deliver the final attack.

Beheading Daki With Inosuke

The Entertainment District Arc was packed with memorable scenes and amazing fights. It was a particularly strong arc for Zenitsu, who demonstrated more bravery than we’d seen before and played a key role in the intense battle against Daki and Gyutaro.

Wow, that battle was incredible! What really stood out to me was how amazingly Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Zenitsu worked as a team – it reminded me of how Daki and Gyutaro supported each other. Zenitsu was a total star, using his speed to really push Daki, though he did run out of steam trying to land the final blow. Luckily, Inosuke jumped in at just the right moment, and together they managed to take Daki down, right as Tanjiro finished off Gyutaro! It was a perfect team effort.

Playing a Big Part in the Battle Against Muzan

The final battle with Muzan pushed the Demon Slayer Corps to their absolute limit. It required the combined strength of the Hashira and the ultimate sacrifice of many Demon Slayers to finally defeat him.

Zenitsu was a key player in the final battle, fighting alongside Tanjiro, Inosuke, and the remaining Hashira. He used his amazing speed to stay on par with the Demon King and provided crucial help to his friends.

Surpassing Kaigaku and Avenging his Master

Zenitsu’s fight with Kaigaku was his toughest battle yet, pushing him to his physical and emotional limits. It demonstrated just how much stronger he’d become throughout Demon Slayer, and it was a pivotal moment for his character, allowing him to get revenge for his Master by defeating the person who betrayed him.

Zenitsu faces a truly difficult fight against Kaigaku, who has powerful demonic abilities that give him a significant advantage. Even with his speed and better control over Thunder Breathing, Zenitsu struggles. However, remembering his shared history with Kaigaku as students under Jigoro and the respect he once felt for him, Zenitsu digs deep and unleashes his most powerful technique, the Seventh Form: God of Fire Thunder, finally defeating Kaigaku.
