Some World of Warcraft Players Experience Issues With The War Within Campaign

As a seasoned World of Warcraft player with countless hours spent traversing Azeroth and beyond, I can’t help but feel a mix of frustration and amusement at the recent events unfolding in The War Within campaign. The initial excitement of witnessing the explosive debut was quickly overshadowed by the unexpected stumbling block that halted my progress towards unlocking the Earthen allied race.


On September 3rd, the concluding event of Patch 11.0 for the game World of Warcraft: The War Within was inaccessible for certain gamers following its temporary removal due to Blizzard taking it down for after Blizzard decided to pull it offline to fix some problems. Fortunately, after a few hours had passed, players of World of Warcraft were once again able to continue the campaign and accomplish the final tasks necessary to unlock the Earthen allied race.

Despite a thrilling beginning for the “The War Within” campaign, the climax, the recent ending of this chapter’suddenly encountered an unexpectedly, unfortunately hit an unforeseen snag in its current chapter. As reported on Blizzard’s forum post, the initial finale of “The War Within” was temporarily removed from access after a short period during which some players were able to experience it. When players logged in and progressed through the final quests, a critical cutscene intended for the climax failed to play as planned. Consequently, Alleria Windrunner’s chapter “A Light In the resolution called “A Light In The Dark” couldn’s be initiated by level 80 characters. The bug was detected around midday, and it was rectified on live servers shortly after, at approximately 2:30 PM Eastern.

World of Warcraft: The War Within Campaign Finale Returns After Bug Fixes

  • The quest “A Light In the Dark” returned after being taken offline to address bugs.
  • The bug was related to a cutscene playback issue during the campaign’s climactic finale.
  • Blizzard took nearly two hours to fix the bug before bringing the quest back online.
  • The quest is necessary if World of Warcraft players want to unlock the Earthen allied race.

Players of World of Warcraft can now effortlessly unlock the Earthen allied race without encountering any difficulties. Unfortunately, the bug in The War Within’s campaign quest wasn’t the only problem Blizzard had to deal with after the expansion launch. In addition, the player-managed Auction House interface functioned slower than normal post- a significant amount of time post-release. After addressing the expansion release. Following the expansion release. After days of troubleshooting, Blizzard introduced a hotfix in early September for the Auction House issues while simultaneously working on long-term solutions.

Beginning September 10th Season debuts on September 10 in “World of Warcraft: The War Within”. Players at level 80 will find additional content to explore once they’ve finished the initial act of “The War Within”. As for the future instalments of The Worldsoul Saga, we’ll have to see what Blizzard has up their team at Blizzard doesn’s in store for them.
