Okay, so as a Pokémon GO player, I’m pretty excited about this! Niantic is giving us a quick, three-hour Community Day at the end of the year where we can try to catch six shiny Pokémon that were available in previous events. Throughout 2025, they’ve done a bunch of these Community Days, and this is basically one last shot to get those shiny versions we might have missed. It’s awesome they’re giving us another chance with boosted shiny rates!
The new Precious Paths season has begun in Pokémon GO and will last until March 6, 2026. The game has been updated with fresh research tasks, and players can look forward to lots of exciting things over the next three months, including special Pokémon appearing during events, seasonal rewards, and new challenges in Max Raids.

Beyond the usual perks, four Community Day events are planned for this season in Pokémon GO, with a special one on December 6th and 7th to finish out 2025. These December Community Days will each last just three hours – from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. local time – and will bring back popular Pokémon from Community Days held earlier in the year. As always, these Pokémon will appear much more frequently, and they’ll be able to learn the special move they originally got during their first Community Day. The featured Pokémon for Saturday, December 6th are Karrablast, Shelmet, Vanillite, Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Pawmi.
Besides appearing more often, Pokémon have a higher chance of being shiny during the Community Day event. Shiny hunters will have the same odds of finding a rare, differently-colored Pokémon as they did during all Community Days in 2025. Normally, the chance of finding a shiny Pokémon is about 1 in 500, or 0.2%. But during Community Days, those odds jump to 1 in 25, or 4%.
Image via Scopely The boosted spawn rates will also apply to Solosis, Pikipek, Jangmo-o, Rookidee, and Quaxly during the event on December 7th. This Sunday’s Community Day will bring back the Flabebe event from September, with three different colored Flabebe available depending on your location. Players in North and South America can find Yellow Flower Flabebe, while the Blue Flower version will appear in the Asia-Pacific region. Red Flower Flabebe will be more common in Europe and Africa, following the game’s usual regional restrictions. Though rare, players anywhere in the world might encounter Orange or White Flower Flabebe.
As a Pokémon GO player, I’m excited to know that even after the main event times, we’ll still have a chance to find the featured Pokémon from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. each day. Just keep in mind they’ll be much rarer and have a lower chance of being shiny! There’s also a super limited-time window at the end of each day – from 4:50 to 5 p.m. local time – where Machop, Eevee, Totodile, and Ralts will have boosted spawn rates and shiny chances. If you really want a shiny one of those, you need to be playing during those 10 minutes!
