This post contains spoilers for One Piece.
Wow, the latest One Piece episode was absolutely incredible! Seriously, it was packed with moments I know fans will be talking about for ages. The biggest highlight? We finally got to see Jewelry Bonney use her powers and transform into Nika – it was a game changer!
The incredible change shocked everyone, leading many to believe they were looking at two of the same person. In addition to Bonney’s transformation, fans of One Piece were surprised to see Emet return. Though the giant robot appeared defeated, it recovered and rescued the pirates from the Five Elders.
Jewelry Bonney Finally Transforms Into Nika
Bonney Helped Luffy To Push Back An Elder
Jewelry Bonney’s recent change might have surprised some viewers, but the author, Oda, had foreshadowed her gaining this ability for a while. It finally happened in One Piece Episode 1161. Right after Luffy recovered and used Gear 5, the ‘Drums of Liberation’ started playing again. The giants, Dorry and Brogy, heard the music and began to dance, while Bonney watched them from the ship, noticing their pose mirrored that of Kuma.
Bonney was still hesitant, but Luffy encouraged her to try using her Distorted Future ability. When the smoke cleared, she’d transformed into a form resembling Nika. This transformation was so convincing that it fooled nearly everyone, leading them to believe there were multiple people with the power of Nika.
Bonney barely had a moment to enjoy her new form before Marcus Mars launched another assault. Luffy managed to intercept him, but couldn’t fully repel the Elder, so he called for backup. Sanji and Franky quickly arrived and unleashed a pair of strong attacks. Bonney, after a brief hesitation, joined in with an attack of her own. The combined force of their attacks allowed Luffy to drive Mars away from them and back towards Egghead Island.
Emet played a key role in saving the ship. As Topman Warcury charged towards it, Emet rose from the water and powerfully launched the Elder away, preventing a catastrophic collision.
One Piece Episode 1152 Release Date
- One Piece Episode 1152 will air on December 7
- It will once again focus on Bonney
One Piece episode 1152, titled “Her Father and Mother’s Legacy! Bonney’s Nika Punch,” is scheduled to air on December 7th, 2025. The episode promises exciting action as Bonney transforms into her Nika form once more. This transformation is significant because it represents Bonney’s newfound freedom, something she’s longed for after years of separation from her father and conflict with the World Government. Achieving this form allows Bonney to realize her dream of embodying the spirit of Nika.
Distorted Future! Future where… I’m the most free. —Bonney
I’m so hyped for episode 1152! It looks like Bonney’s finally going to unleash her new powers on Jaygarcia Saturn, and I can’t wait! Seeing her land that Nika punch on him is going to be incredible. Seriously, this guy has caused Bonney so much pain – he’s responsible for Ginny’s death, turned Kuma into a cyborg, and kept Bonney separated from her dad. Honestly, if anyone deserves a beatdown from Bonney, it’s Saturn!
One Piece Episode 1152 May Reveal Emet’s True Intention
Besides Bonney, Emet is also expected to play a key role in the story. Having already saved the ship, Emet’s next goal is to help the Straw Hats escape the island. Fans are wondering how Emet can stop the Five Elders alone, and the answer might come in episodes 1152 or 1153. In episode 1151, Emet was heard speaking with someone who instructed it to wait for the right moment. Many believe this person was Joyboy, and we might see their interaction in a flashback. Based on what Emet has said so far, it seems the robot knew Joyboy and possibly had a friendly relationship with him.
Listen, Emet…Only when the time is right. —Joyboy
Joyboy likely instructed Emet to hold off until the perfect moment to activate a powerful weapon. While it’s hard to be certain from just one statement, the context suggests this is what Joyboy meant. Emet recognizes similarities between Luffy and the legendary Joyboy, even referring to Luffy as Joyboy, leading him to believe the figure has reappeared. Luffy’s heartbeat creates a specific drumbeat when he uses Gear 5th, which would strongly validate Emet’s conviction.
Given Luffy’s current situation, it’s logical that Emet would protect him. Emet will probably use a powerful weapon to fight off the Five Elders, creating an opening for the Straw Hat Pirates to escape. However, it’s important to remember that the Five Elders are immortal and can fully recover from any wound, even seemingly fatal ones.
Regular weapons won’t be very effective against them, only briefly slowing them down before they resume attacking. With so little known, it’s difficult to guess what will happen with Emet in episode 1152. Fans will need to wait until the episode airs on December 7th, 2025, to find out.
