In a sweeter scenario, it’s delightful to imagine Joyce (Winona Ryder) and Hopper (David Harbour) sharing their long-awaited date. Viewers are equally eager to follow Steve’s (Joe Keery) romantic journey. As for Season 4’s cliffhangers, Robin (Maya Hawke) and Vickie (Amybeth McNulty) storylines remain intriguing, with speculation that Vickie might confirm her bisexuality within the series. Since Stranger Things boasts diverse LGBTQ+ characters, this wouldn’t be unexpected. The audience was pleased to see Will’s (Noah Schnapp) feelings for Mike (Finn Wolfhard) acknowledged, and thankfully, he didn’t end the season alone; his heart-to-heart with brother Jonathan (Charlie Heaton) at Surfer Boy Pizza was a welcomed moment. Here’s hoping Will can openly express his identity to The Party in the next season
In a more somber perspective, some viewers are theorizing that one prominent character might meet a valiant end. Possible candidates for this fate could be Eleven or Hopper, due to their heroic roles in the series. On the other hand, others think Will may perish, considering his initial disappearance into the Upside Down at the start of the story. Even Steve, who initially was portrayed as a jerk but has become one of the show’s standout characters, is being speculated to make the ultimate sacrifice, as it would conclude his transformation from self-centered to selfless. After the impressive success of Season 4, Matt and Ross Duffer created Upside Down Pictures. Although not all projects under this banner will be related to Stranger Things (one is an adaptation of the manga Death Note), at least two upcoming projects are. The first is a stage play titled Stranger Things: The First Shadow, focusing on Henry Creel, portrayed by Raphael Luce in the series and Louis McCartner on stage, in 1959. The second is a live-action spin-off. Furthermore, it has been reported that an animated project is also being developed
