Capcom also revealed a trailer for Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, coming out on March 13, 2026. The trailer highlighted a new threat – “invasive monsters” that take over other creatures’ lands – and showed how Rangers work to defend against them. But the most exciting part of the presentation was the introduction of Habitat Restoration.
Players can find monster eggs, even rare ones like those of Rathian, and hatch them. They can then raise these monsters and release them back into the wild, which helps strengthen the ecosystem and can even create unique, mutated monsters like Dreadqueen Rathian. Some monsters will also adapt to their environment, gaining new abilities – for example, a Zinogre in a fiery area might become a fire-based monster instead of its usual thunder type.
According to producer Ryozo Tsujimoto, you’ll need to rebuild environments to unlock certain monsters in Monster Hunter Wilds. He also revealed that Arkveld will be a key monster in the game, and the development team is particularly excited about its unique animations showing the bond between hunters and monsters.
Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection is coming to Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
