Where to Find the Flux Compressor in Star Wars Outlaws (Ion Smoke Bomb)

As a seasoned Star Wars Outlaws player, I can confidently say that the hunt for the elusive Flux Compressor has been one of my most exhilarating adventures yet! This quest marker, it seems, leads not to a straightforward path but a challenging labyrinth of rugged terrains and tricky puzzles.

In the game Star Wars Outlaws, character Kay frequently needs to retrieve at least one essential component, often referred to as a Key Part. These components are usually hidden in the Key Part Intel section of her Journal. This setup typically triggers a mini quest for Kay, making it relatively easy to gather these parts. However, there are instances where this isn’t the case, such as with the Flux Compressor, which remains challenging to find even when guided by the quest marker. This guide aims to help players locate the Flux Compressor in Star Wars Outlaws and use it to activate the Ion Smoke Bomb ability.

The Scavenger’s Abilities:

In the game “Star Wars Outlaws”, the Flux Compressor is connected to The Scavenger’s skills. This significant upgrade won’t appear in your Key Part Intel until The Scavenger has been unlocked and his Ion Smoke Bomb ability has been unveiled. Once this occurs, players like Kay can gather the Flux Compressor.

The Scavenger becomes accessible as you advance through the Akiva section of the primary questline. Since players can decide which planet to explore next following Toshara, there’s a chance that The Scavenger might be unveiled at various stages within the game.

After obtaining the Flux Compressor in your core Intel component, activate it to determine the approximate area. Since the landscape is challenging, a quest marker alone may not suffice for certain gamers, so an additional guidance system might be beneficial.

The marker indicating the quest location can be a bit misleading, suggesting it’s inland, but your journey actually begins in the expanse known as the Great Basin. If you examine the map provided, you’ll notice that the starting point is positioned to the west of Research Station 57, which is where Kay saves Gedeek during “The Droidsmith” storyline. At this starting point, there’s a ruined structure that has been transformed into a jump ramp for Kay’s speeder.

In order to obtain the Flux Compressor, Kay must possess the skill to shatter rocks with the blaster by utilizing the Star Wars Outlaws’ Power Module.

To quickly get past Kay’s speeder jump, activate both Speed Boost and Jump capabilities. After the leap, Kay will need to continue on foot. A short distance ahead, there will be a rocky gap obstructed by orange moss-covered rocks. Use your blaster’s Power Module to remove the obstacle and carry on. The path primarily follows a straightforward course, but if you find yourself struggling, remember to look up for potential grapple points. Additionally, there seems to be a turn that initially looks like a dead end, but upon closer inspection, it leads to a small path around its outer edge.

Upon reaching Rover’s Hideout, you’ll encounter a doorway linked to four energy sources. Above the doorway, there are four red lights that will switch to green once each source is supplying power. Be mindful that two of these generators have rocks obstructing them; ensure you break those to access them.

  • Each generator will stay active for a different length of time. The puzzle is discovering the correct order to shoot them in.
  • Make sure to use the Ion Module to shoot the generators.

Rover’s Lair Puzzle Solution:

The generators must be shot with Ion Module in this order:
