It appears as though Temmin forgot to mention that they were also holed up in this abandoned droid factory.

With the factory being temporarily shut down, the Rebels might have seized the opportunity to reconstruct their base. There’s an abundance of Battle Droids on standby, ready for deployment once more. It seems unusual that the Rebels didn’t make use of these droids in their fight against The Empire, given they could have been valuable assets in the struggle.
