Some MW3 players are getting extra Battle Pass Tokens but no one knows why

As a seasoned gamer who’s been through multiple battles and seasons, I can’t help but feel a tinge of frustration when it comes to Modern Warfare III and Warzone’s Season 5 Battle Pass tokens. It seems like some of us lucky ones are reaping the rewards, while others are left high and dry, wondering where their tokens are.

For five consecutive seasons, Multiplayer 3 (MW3) and Warzone have provided complimentary Battle Pass tokens within their weekly missions. However, it seems that not every player has received these tokens, leaving us uncertain as to why this discrepancy exists.

Time is running out for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone Season 5, as Season 6 kicks off on September 18th. To get all the available rewards and CoD Points, be sure to strive for Tier 100 before the new season begins.

Users can expedite the process by acquiring Battle Pass tokens via Weekly Challenges; however, it was recently discovered through a Reddit discussion that not all players have this ability.

User ‘skrnroo06’ shared a pair of Discord screenshots in comparison. One image showcased a player receiving four Battle Pass Tokens upon accomplishing Week 7’s challenges, while the other depicted a player who did not receive any tokens.

Why some people getting tokens on weeklies and some not? Can we fix this?

Users are outraged and surprised, expressing their frustration with not receiving Battle Pass tokens even after participating in weekly challenges, as one individual put it: “Dude, can’t believe I haven’t received a single Battle Pass token from the weekly challenges!”

“I’ve been playing the game since its release, yet I’m only at level 1000, and strangely, I haven’t collected any tokens from the weekly challenges even though I’ve completed them all.”

‘Enigma_Green’ stated, “My friend hasn’t been earning tokens, but I have, and I’ve completed the battle pass. The tokens are accumulating in a bank; they’ll likely disappear once Season 6 starts.”

It appears that there’s no apparent explanation as to why certain players are receiving tokens while others aren’t. I’m a PC player using Battle.net, have purchased the standard Battle Pass but haven’t completed it yet, and I’ve been receiving the tokens during Season 5. However, players who seem to be in a similar situation as mine haven’t received them.

At the moment I’m writing this, the developers have not yet addressed the problem, but given the growing awareness among players, it seems likely they will soon take notice of it.

Great news! As a player, I’m thrilled to share that progressing through the Season 5 Battle Pass is possible even while enjoying Black Ops 6’s Open Beta. This means I can test out the latest game without worrying about missing any advancements along the way. What a fantastic feature, right?
