Warframe Perita Rebellion and Descendia Missions, Explained

The recent ‘Old Peace’ update for Warframe not only advanced the game’s story with a new quest, but also added two new, repeatable mission types for players to enjoy. These missions – Perita Rebellion and Descendia – are the main focus of the update, alongside new weapons, a new Warframe, and other additions.

Getting to the Dark Refractory is easy, and new Warframe players don’t need to play for very long before they can try out its missions.

How to Access the Dark Refractory in Warframe

To unlock the Dark Refractory menu, you need to finish the quest called “The Old Peace.” You can start this quest after completing “Lotus Eaters,” which should take just over an hour. Once you’ve finished “The Old Peace,” go to your Navigation Console. Instead of pressing it, you’ll see a new Dark Refractory option has appeared. Select this option to open the menu.

On the Dark Refractory screen, you’ll find two options: Perita Rebellion and Descendia. Each one offers different rewards, so choose the mission type that gives you the items you’re looking for.

New players can bypass the initial quests for Old Peace and begin with the Descendia and Perita Rebellion storylines. After finishing ‘The Teacher’ quest, simply accept the warning message that pops up to start these later quests directly.

Warframe Descendia, Explained

Descendia is a weekly game mode similar to The Circuit in Duviri. Instead of playing through endless missions, Descendia has a defined end: players complete 21 stages called Infernums to finish and claim rewards.

Each Infernum presents a unique challenge, like capturing something or performing alchemy, and also includes active modifiers called Penances. These Penances change how the challenge plays out.

  • Chemical Warfare: The arena is covered in toxic gas. Defeat enemies to create safe zones.
  • Bubble Blasters: Enemies fire large, slow-moving spheres.
  • Falling Debris: Debris is constantly falling down onto the arena, damaging anything they hit.

The 7th and 14th Infernums act as safe havens where you can find Marie and Lyon. They both offer helpful buffs to players. Completing the 21st Infernum guarantees you’ll receive a component needed to build either the Uriel Warframe or the Vinquibus bayonet rifle, and these rewards aren’t limited by weekly caps.

Warframe Perita Rebellion, Explained

I’m really excited about the Perita Rebellion mode! Basically, you jump into these 12-minute missions and try to complete as many objectives – they call them Orders – as you can. Once the time runs out, you face off against a huge boss! It sounds super intense and replayable.

On the Perita Rebellion screen, you’ll see two sets of options:

  • Recall: These are essentially memories related to the war on Tau. Each represent a different boss you need to defeat.
  • Focus School: You can choose to run your mission using one of the available Focus Schools. Different schools give you different bonuses and Tauron Strikes.

Perita Rebellion Rewards

After completing each Perita Rebellion challenge, you’ll earn resources. These can be spent to unlock powerful ultimate abilities called Tauron Strikes for your Operator, and also to expand your Focus School options with new nodes.
