So, I’m really excited about the new Mega Dimension DLC for Pokémon Legends: Z-A! It’s got tons of new Pokémon, and a lot of them evolve in really interesting ways. I’ve been trying to get my Galarian Farfetch’d to evolve into Sirfetch’d, but it’s not as simple as just leveling up – it takes some extra work, that’s for sure!

Galarian Farfetch’d was introduced in Pokémon’s eighth generation and differs from the original Farfetch’d, which couldn’t evolve. It’s returning in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, and its special way of evolving will be included in the game.

How to Evolve Galarian Farfetch’d Into Sirfetch’d

In Pokémon Legends: Z-A, evolving Galarian Farfetch’d into Sirfetch’d is different. You need to land three critical hits with that Pokémon within a single battle.

The battling system is similar to what players experienced in Pokémon Sword and Shield, the games where Galarian Farfetch’d and Sirfetch’d first appeared. However, it can be tricky to remember all the details, even if you’re familiar with those games. Luckily, there are strategies to increase your chances of landing those important critical hits.

Giving Farfetch’d a Leek boosts its chances of landing a critical hit during battles. Luckily, Leeks are readily available for purchase at the shop near the Jaune Pokémon Center. If you plan to evolve your Galarian Farfetch’d, be sure it knows the move Slash, as this also increases its critical hit rate.

Since you need to land three critical hits in one battle, it’s best to challenge Pokémon that can withstand some damage and won’t be defeated quickly. Rock and Steel types are a good choice because Normal-type attacks don’t work well against them, but watch out for Rock-type moves, which can be tough for your Farfetch’d to handle.

It’s not quite clear if defeating multiple Pokémon at once helps with evolution, so it’s best to concentrate on one Pokémon at a time. Fighting trainers can be useful for this, especially if their Pokémon are stronger and you’re in Hyperspace Lumiose.
