In an instant, we’re whisked away to some strange realm – the vestige world. Here, I find myself face-to-face with Nana Shimura and Yoichi. During the Paranormal Liberation War storyline, our heroes successfully sneak into Garaki’s hidden lab situated within Jaku General Hospital, where he was aiding Shigaraki in upgrading his Decay ability. However, before they can take charge of the situation, Tomura regains consciousness and releases a torrent of decay that demolishes the hospital and contaminates the surrounding area.
‘The Thrill of Destruction’ encapsulates the intense action happening as Shigaraki, now powerful, confronts the hero community with his upgraded abilities. Notably, Tomura successfully reaches out to Gigantomachia and instructs him to wreak havoc on whatever comes across his path towards Shigaraki. The battle takes a dramatic turn due to Shigaraki’s immense power and tactical planning, tilting the balance in favor of the villains. His relentless animosity towards the hero society is vividly demonstrated through the devastation he brings about and its lasting impact.
3 Season 7, Episode 11: “Light Fades To Rain”
Shigaraki Unleashes A Deadly Attack As Bakugo Fights Back

The heroes successfully lure the villains out of their hideout, and then proceed with the next part of their strategy by separating them. To deal with Shigaraki’s Decay Quirk, a group consisting of Shigaraki, Bakugo, Best Jeanist, Mirko, Mirio Togata, Tamaki Amajiki, and Nejire Hado are confined in a hovering U.A. High School fortress. Initially, the plan seems to be working well, but Shigaraki’s swift development creates numerous challenges for the heroes as they struggle to maintain control over him.
In the floating U.A. fortress, home to some of the best heroes, it is Tomura Shigaraki who manages to defeat Katsuki Bakugo. Shigaraki’s intention behind this victory over Bakugo, a friend from Deku’s childhood, is more sinister: he aims to kill Kacchan in order to shatter the spirit of his enemy by causing him immense emotional pain. This act would be especially distressing for Deku, who harbors feelings of affection towards Kacchan.
During the battle, Bakugo remains relentless, attacking Tomura despite his grave injuries. His agility catches the villain off guard to some extent. However, Shigaraki quickly adapts and transforms again, landing another attack on Bakugo that stops his heart. The “Light Fades to Rain” episode is one of the most intense in the series, foreshadowing the impending face-off between Tomura and Deku.
2 Season 7, Episode 2: “Specter”
Tomura Faces Star And Stripe In A High-Stakes Battle

As a gamer, when I discover that Japan is in grave peril, teetering on the brink of an existential crisis that could potentially endanger the world, I reach out to my global hero comrades for aid. In this high-stakes confrontation between Tomura and Cathleen, the world holds its breath in anticipation as their conflict reaches its peak. Star and Stripe attempts to end Shigaraki’s life with her ultimate technique, the High-Speed Transcontinental Punch, but Tomura skillfully outmaneuvers and counteracts this attack, saving himself. As he gains the upper hand against the top American hero, she is compelled to make a tough decision that significantly alters the course of the battle.

Shigaraki Remembers His Painful Past

In the storyline known as the “Meta Liberation Army Arc,” the title antagonistic group devises a scheme to eliminate the League of Villains before they gain too much power and influence. This confrontation between the two criminal organizations eventually escalates into a full-blown war. The conflict climaxes when Tomura Shigaraki squares off against Re-Destro, the leader of the Meta Liberation Army.
In “Tenko Shimura: Origin”, hidden memories from Shigaraki’s childhood gradually resurface, leading to a heart-wrenching portrayal of his transformation into one of the most malevolent villains. As we witness his haunting visions descend into madness, it becomes clear how an ordinary child was molded into this figure of evil.
