Astro Bot: How to Find the Warp Portal in Frozen Meal (Secret Exit Guide)

As a seasoned gamer who’s seen my fair share of platformers, let me walk you through this icy adventure known as “Frozen Meal” level from Astro’s Playroom. First off, let’s tackle those slippery ice blocks. After navigating them with finesse, you’ll find yourself facing two spinning sawblade enemies – a classic video game trope if ever there was one! Trick them into each other, pull out your trusty explosives, and watch the chaos unfold. The resulting explosion will free Frozen Meal Bot #4.

In the constellation known as Feather Cluster, you’ll discover a pre-prepared meal – the Frozen Meal. This hidden gem can only be accessed after you’ve successfully navigated through the Djinny of the Lamp stage within the game Astro Bot. Similar to other significant stages in this game, it houses seven bots and three puzzle pieces for savvy players to discover, along with a concealed escape route.

In Astro Bot, much like other warp portals in various levels, the one in Frozen Meal is usually located towards the end of the stage. This means players can initially concentrate on locating scattered Bots and Puzzle Pieces. Most of these items are relatively easy to find, but a few are cleverly hidden.

As soon as they step onto the stage, players need to turn around and walk back up the ramp they descended earlier. To their left, they’ll spot an archway, near which a cable is sticking out of the ground. When they pull this cable, it will uncover the initial piece of the Frozen Meal Puzzle.

Frozen Meal Bot #1

Following the defeat of the large spiked helmet ball adversary, players can unearth a flower petal from the ground. This allows them to access a platform situated to their right, where they’ll discover a Bot resembling Jodie Holmes from Beyond: Two Souls embedded within it.

Frozen Meal Bot #2

Shortly following their initial Bot rescue, players will encounter a cluster of drifting ice blocks and a gun-wielding amphibian. Defeating the frog, they should navigate to their left, where they’ll find another ice block housing the second Bot of the stage.

Frozen Meal Puzzle Piece #2

After my snowman buddy munches on the backstage door, I’d recommend the players to seek a mini snowman nestled among seals to their right-hand side. Knocking over this tiny snowman will cause a cable to pop out of the ground, revealing some crocodile platforms and the elusive second piece of the Frozen Meal Puzzle!

Frozen Meal Bot #3

Just after picking up the second Puzzle Piece on stage, players will encounter an area where they must glide on ice blocks to move forward. However, before heading right, they should ride these ice blocks towards the island on their left instead. Upon reaching the ladder there, they’ll discover a hidden character inspired by Sam Bridges from Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding.

Frozen Meal Bot #4

As I navigate past the sliding chunks of ice, I’ll reach an area with a pair of whirling sawblade foes. By cleverly maneuvering them into colliding with each other, I’ll be able to deal with them. After that, I should roam around a bit to discover a cable protruding from the ground. Yanking this will net me a stick of dynamite, which I can then hurl at the massive block of ice, setting it free and releasing the fourth Frozen Meal Bot.

Frozen Meal Bot #5

While still in this area, players should grab another stick of explosives and drop down off the ledge behind them. If they throw the explosives at the ice wall here, they’ll uncover a blue X on the ground, which they should stand on and perform a spinning punch. This will take them to a secret area where they’ll need to skate around the cylinder with the Bot on it to make it fall into the water. This cameo Bot is based on RK800 Connor from Detroit: Become Human.

Frozen Meal Bot #6

A while into the game, players will encounter a frozen pond with two electric mine traps floating on it. By pulling the cord emerging from the metallic cylinder nearby, they’ll receive a petal that can be used as a rideable vehicle to reach the platform on their left and save the sixth Frozen Meal Bot.

Frozen Meal Puzzle Piece #3

The last Frozen Meal Puzzle Piece is on the underside of one of the spinning ice blocks that players need to cross to reach the last part of the stage. They’ll need to be careful, though, as there are a few of those blue spitting enemies nearby.

Frozen Meal Portal / Secret Exit

As they near the final part of the stage, players encounter a zone filled with thick snow and four electric foes scampering about. Defeating these enemies is crucial, then they should whack the snowball located between two penguins, moving it around to make it grow larger. Once it reaches its full size, they can employ it to leap onto a ledge situated to their left. Upon landing there, they’ll need to engage the snow-blowing apparatus and utilize it to demolish the ice wall, thereby unveiling the Frozen Meal secret escape route.

Frozen Meal Bot #7

To locate the last Frozen Meal Bot, gamers should make their way to the usual course exit, battle the snowman boss by spinning on its head, and then defeat it. Once conquered, the final Bot will rise into the sky and become frozen in the snow. However, players can quickly free it with a swift punch.
