How to Get the Re-Volter in BL3

As a seasoned Vault Hunter with countless hours under my belt in Borderlands 3, I can confidently say that the Re-Volter is a game changer! This shield, backed by Hyperion technology, turns every setback into an opportunity for massive shock damage. And if you’re playing as Zane, it’s like hitting the jackpot!

In the game Borderlands 3, the revered Re-Volter is known for being one of the top protective gear items. The technology provided by Hyperion empowers you with a significant boost whenever your shield shatters. When agitated by shock, not only does your rate of fire accelerate by fifty percent, but also your capacity to inflict shock damage multiplies dramatically by 200 percent.

The Re-Volter is beneficial for any vault hunter who uses a shock weapon, but it’s exceptionally advantageous for a Zane character focused on shock damage. If you manage to get a Re-Volter with an operative anointment, Zane will enter a shock-fueled fury each time he initiates his action skill. This allows him to extend the duration of his skills, resulting in him dealing over double the shock damage for extended periods, which can quickly eliminate many enemies.

In Borderlands 3: Director’s Cut, a notable artifact known as the Re-Volter Shield is included in the enhanced downloadable content (DLC) package. This DLC also introduces a fresh questline and an enormous Varkid raid boss named Hemovorous the Invincible, designed to push your late-game character setup to its absolute limits.

After you’ve installed the Director’s Cut, there’s a slight possibility that the Re-Volter could appear in your loot from enemies or chests. But, keep in mind that these loot sources must be found within the new locations introduced by the Director’s Cut. Exploring other areas for legendary farming, even with the Director’s Cut installed, won’t result in the Re-Volter being added to your loot collection.

Opt for purchasing the Season 2 Pass rather than solely the Director’s Cut. By spending a bit less, you will receive not only the Director’s Cut but also the Designer’s Cut, and an additional eight Multiverse cosmetic packs.

In Borderlands 3, it’s fortunate that the Director’s Cut includes a specific loot spot where the legendary Re-Volter shield is more likely to appear. To obtain this, you should focus on farming Sumo, a mini-boss situated at the end of Eschaton Row on Promethea. Simply navigate your way to the final location, and you’ll find him in the region with the vending machine. Keep in mind that Sumo has approximately a 30% chance of dispensing the Re-Volter in BL3.

As someone eagerly anticipating the farming experience in Eschaton Row, since it’s a fresh location added with the Director’s Cut, I can’t help but be excited about the possibility of obtaining the Re-Volter shield. Compared to other legendary items that demand extensive travel and a dash of luck, this one seems like a more manageable quest.

Sumo behaves like a rogue, making fire-based attacks particularly effective against him. Carry a Maliwan Submachine Gun for its rapid-fire capabilities to reduce him significantly.
