Beyond Galaxyland gameplay overview trailer released

As someone who grew up with a steady diet of classic sci-fi movies, retro RPGs, and an unhealthy obsession with guinea pigs, Beyond Galaxyland has my heart racing faster than Boom Boom on caffeine overload!

As the release of Beyond Galaxyland approaches within two weeks, an extended gameplay preview trailer has been unveiled.

Taking more than five minutes to unfold, this demonstration provides an extensive view of the game, highlighting its RPG aspects, platform navigation, combats, item collection features, and the intelligent pet character, Boom Boom.

Check out the extended gameplay overview trailer below:

In the spirit of timeless science fiction films, Beyond Galaxyland offers a captivating 2.5D role-playing game experience across the cosmos. Embark on this journey as Doug, a regular high school student, who unexpectedly finds himself transported to Galaxyland – a collection of planets resembling a zoo. This thrilling quest aims not just at saving Doug, but Earth itself!

Experience a fresh perspective on classic RPG adventures, embark on an unprecedented journey filled with lush jungles, vibrant cities bathed in neon light, and high-tech casinos. Every new world you encounter will introduce you to captivating characters, formidable enemies, and numerous other surprises.

With Doug’s pet guinea pig, Boom Boom (who’s equipped with guns), and a smart robot named MartyBot by your side, you are tasked with shielding the world from an omnipotent force called ‘The End’, before it takes over the entire universe.

We recently spoke to developer Sam Enright about the game, where he revealed it has been in his head to make the game for “maybe ten years”, as well as saying that “this game is based on my love of Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy 7, and takes the most notes from those two by far.”

As a fervent admirer, let me share my experience: I’ve had the pleasure of dabbling in this game, and it has left a lasting impression. To those who haven’t yet discovered it, I urge you to give it a second glance. This could very well be a strong candidate for Game of the Year. Now, I admit, I tend to get carried away after previews, but my enthusiasm is warranted here. I’ve traversed two realms within Beyond Galaxyland and haven’t found a single aspect that didn’t resonate with me. The game’s RPG elements echo The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy and Pokémon in intriguing ways, making it a universe I’m eager to delve deeper into.

The game “Beyond Galaxyland” will be available for play on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on the 24th of September.
