A recent update to ARC Raiders, released on December 16th, added a new puzzle that gives players a brand new item. If you want to get the new guitar in ARC Raiders, you’ll need to solve a challenging puzzle in Buried City that requires pressing fifteen buttons in the correct sequence.
Embark Studios recently released a significant update for ARC Raiders called Cold Snap. This patch introduces several new features, including a challenging Map Modifier that adds freezing temperatures – players will need to find shelter or risk elimination. The update also includes the Flickering Flames event, bug fixes, improvements to gameplay, and adjustments to balance. This comes quickly after the game’s launch less than two months ago, and only four weeks after the North Line update, which added a new map and a new boss called the Matriarch.
Along with the new Cold Snap map changes and Flickering Flames event, ARC Raiders has added a guitar! Like the flute – which has been in the game since it launched – the guitar doesn’t really do anything except let you play music while exploring Topside. However, carrying a guitar or flute is a fun way to show other players you’re friendly and just there to enjoy the game. While you can find the flute almost anywhere, getting the guitar is a bit more involved – you’ll need to solve a fairly complex puzzle to unlock it.
Buried City Puzzle Rewards ARC Raiders Players With a Guitar
Players of ARC Raiders have figured out the solution to the new puzzle in Buried City. It involves pressing fifteen buttons scattered across the map in a precise order. Successfully completing the puzzle unlocks a room filled with guitars, but little else. Given the game’s focus on player-versus-player combat, completing this challenge on one of the hardest maps – pressing all fifteen buttons without being eliminated – is quite difficult. What’s frustrating is that the reward offers no benefit in gameplay, and the entire puzzle resets if another player interacts with any of the buttons during your attempt.
While ARC Raiders features several puzzles, the one at Blue Gate is particularly lengthy. Players need to find and place three fuze cells to open the cellar door of the Ancient Fort. Inside, they’ll find valuable loot, including weapons cases and drawers.
The recent ‘Cold Snap’ update for ARC Raiders seems to have drastically changed how often blueprints appear in the game. While the update was meant to make blueprints more available in areas where they were rare, players are now reporting that they’re appearing too frequently. The update also moved the popular Aphelion blueprint to a new location, Stella Montis, and it’s currently showing up for players very often. It’s unknown if the developers plan to fix this increased spawn rate, so it’s a good idea to collect as many blueprints as you can while they’re plentiful.
