New ARC Raiders Update Lowers Blueprint Spawn Rate

Okay, so Embark dropped the Cold Snap update for ARC Raiders on December 16th, and it’s pretty cool! It’s the second big update since the game came out in October. Basically, it throws freezing weather at you with this new Map Modifier, and there are two new events to check out. They also added a new item and a bunch of other stuff. And get this – on December 26th, they’re releasing another Raider Deck, and it’s totally free! Just like the first one, it’s got five pages of unlockable rewards. You earn tokens by playing and doing challenges, and those tokens let you snag some sweet cosmetic items from the Deck. Definitely worth checking out!

Why You Should Reset Your Character During ARC Raiders’ Cold Snap Update

There are compelling reasons to consider resetting your character. While benefits like passive stat boosts are clear, the reset also enhances replayability and offers new ways to progress. It’s a tough choice, as losing even simple skills – especially those that improve movement and loot collection – can be annoying. But if you’re willing to overcome that initial hurdle, a character reset can significantly improve your overall game experience and give you fresh motivation to keep playing, beyond simply enjoying the core gameplay.

What Even Is an Indie Game?

Watching The Game Awards made me, like a lot of people, wonder: what actually defines an indie game? If you look at the word itself – independent – it’s tricky. Shouldn’t a truly indie game be completely self-funded and published? Consider Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. It won Best Independent Game and Game of the Year, but it was published by Kepler Interactive, a sizable company that’s partly owned by NetEase – a name not usually linked with indie development. Still, there’s a noticeable difference between a game like Expedition 33 and huge franchises like Call of Duty or God of War. The real question is, what is that difference?

Kick Door to Escape Codes

Players can get stronger by training, but there are also quick ways to improve. In the game Roblox, using “Kick Door to Escape” codes gives players food and drinks that can temporarily double their strength, earnings, or other stats.

Canceled Resident Evil Game for Game Boy Color Surfaces Online

In early 1999, Capcom asked the South London game studio HotGen to create a version of the original Resident Evil for the Game Boy Color. It was a big challenge to fit a PlayStation game onto a single Game Boy Color cartridge, but HotGen started working on it, aiming for a release in Fall 1999. However, the game missed both its original release date and a later date set for January 2000. Ultimately, Capcom canceled the project in March 2000, explaining they didn’t think the final product would satisfy players or meet their own standards.
