Players in ARC Raiders recently came together to create a spectacular light show, illuminating the Spaceport towers with in-game fireworks. Embark Studio’s ARC Raiders has quickly become a hit in 2025, building on the success of its earlier tech tests and enjoying a strong launch.
I’ve been really impressed with how Embark has kept players like me coming back to ARC Raiders even after launch! They’re constantly adding new stuff and updates, which is awesome. For example, back in November, we all worked together in a huge community event to unlock the Stella Montis map – everyone was donating materials so fast! Then, in December, the Cold Snap update dropped, bringing a fun holiday vibe, another community event, and even new map conditions like snow and frostbite. But honestly, even with all the cool content, the best part of ARC Raiders is still the people playing it – the community is amazing!
ARC Raider Players Create Massive Fireworks Lightshow During a Raid
Players of ARC Raiders are known for their ingenuity, and one recent display stands out. A Reddit user named HitboTC shared a video showing nearly the entire server collaborating to create a huge fireworks show at the Spaceport towers. Players placed Fireworks Boxes around the tower roofs, then triggered them all at once from the Arrival area below. The resulting light display was massive and visible from across the entire map, creating a spectacular, colorful scene.
The post went viral on the subreddit, with most commenters amazed that such a coordinated event could even happen in ARC Raiders. As an extraction shooter with both player-versus-environment and player-versus-player elements, the game often involves betrayal, ambushes from other players, and threats from the AI enemies. Seeing so many players successfully organize and work together was a pleasant surprise for many.

Streamers and YouTubers hoping to achieve this would need to coordinate a simultaneous queue-up for everyone involved. While it’s not a sure thing, coordinating a simultaneous queue increases the chances of getting a lobby filled with their supporters, which could help them complete a specific event.
Image via Embark Studios Games like ARC Raiders are exciting because they create a lot of suspense. You’re placed in a dangerous environment with both computer-controlled enemies and other players, and every match feels unique due to all the unpredictable elements. Interestingly, the developers at Embark were surprised by how much players are working together. Their own testing sessions usually turned competitive, with players quickly fighting each other. But they’ve been happy to see that most players are being friendly and cooperative, which has been a positive experience.
Image via Embark Studios It appears how players act in-game affects who they get matched with in ARC Raiders. Although Embark hasn’t officially stated it, Robert Sammelin suggested the game tries to pair players with similar playstyles – those who enjoy player-versus-player combat will likely face others who do, and so on. Players are starting to notice this, and it seems to go beyond just matching solo players with squads. It looks like your own gameplay can influence the types of matches you get.
