Players of ARC Raiders think adding a way to drag or carry downed teammates – similar to a feature in Battlefield 6 – could make the game’s player-versus-player combat even better and create more exciting moments. ARC Raiders already has a lot of funny, intense, and memorable interactions thanks to things like nearby voice chat and the ability to revive players with a defibrillator. But many believe a carry feature would take those moments to the next level.
Since the game launched, players have been consistently sharing ideas for improvements, including new features, gameplay mechanics, and items. For instance, a recent petition on Reddit for ARC Raiders asked the developers at Embark Studios to make in-game handcuffs easily accessible, so players could restrain enemies – a feature found in games like DayZ. This isn’t the only idea; another fan suggested a special upgrade that would protect a player’s powerful energy weapon, allowing them to focus on the game’s main objectives without fear of losing it to other players. Now, the community has another suggestion that could significantly change how players interact in player-versus-player combat.
ARC Raiders Players Want a ‘Carry’ Feature Added to the Game
A popular idea from the ARC Raiders Reddit community proposes letting players carry downed teammates and enemies, similar to a firefighter rescue. One player explained it would help teams get injured allies to safety and create interesting moments in conflicts. The suggestion has gained a lot of support, with some suggesting it could be added to the game’s skill system, perhaps in place of less-used abilities.
Right now, the only way to revive another player who’s been knocked down is with the ARC Raiders’ Defibrillator. Without it, players are often stuck watching others slowly die, or sadly, having to finish them off. Adding a feature where players could carry downed teammates – similar to a firefighter rescue – would at least give them a chance to get a valuable citizen of Speranza to safety.

The game already handles situations where players carry too much weight – raiders, for example, move slower and can’t do everything when their backpacks are overloaded. Players think that in ARC Raiders, heroes should face challenges, so making a player slower and limiting their movement while carrying a downed teammate would be a natural fit. This would use existing game mechanics and keep the game balanced.
The Downside of Adding a Carry Feature to the Game
It’s likely some players in ARC Raiders‘ player-versus-player combat would use the ability to carry downed enemies to mock their opponents. Right now, finishing off a downed player with a melee attack is seen as a taunt, similar to a disrespectful gesture. Allowing players to carry downed enemies could lead to new, even more provocative taunts, like throwing them off a cliff or parading them around. However, ARC Raiders already has a Surrender option that lets players quickly end the match if they’re defeated, so these potential taunts might not be a significant problem compared to the benefits of being able to carry downed players.
Image via Embark Studios It’s currently unknown if Embark Studios will add more ways for players to interact with each other when raiding, but the PvP community is still optimistic about the game’s future. The studio has shared its commitment to long-term support and continued development of both gameplay and the game’s story. The recent ‘Cold Snap’ update and ‘Flickering Flames’ event, along with new quests, concluded the 2025 plans for ARC Raiders. Players are now waiting to see what the developers have planned for 2026 and hoping they’ll consider community ideas, like the popular suggestion for a firefighter’s carry.
