Embracer Group Is Keeping 4A Games and Zen Studios

As a seasoned gamer with years of gaming under my belt, I must say I am quite elated about Embracer Group’s decision to keep 4A Games and Zen Studios within their fold. The Metro series and Pinball games have been part of my gaming journey for quite some time, and the thought of losing these studios was a bit disheartening. But alas, they will continue to churn out the AAA titles we all know and love!

Embracer Group has called off the planned acquisition of 4A Games (creators of Metro) and Zen Studios (known for Pinball), as announced in a statement released on Friday.

In the $247 million acquisition of Saber Interactive, it was anticipated that two studios would be offered as additional purchases to make Saber independent. However, the company received a $168.4 million payment instead, which covered the transaction costs with Saber, and retained those studios within their own organization.

Lars Wingefors, Embracer’s CEO, expressed contentment with the completion of the deal and happiness that the talented teams and valuable assets of 4A Games and Zen Studios will continue to be part of Embracer, as stated in a press release.

“They will be important building blocks in our continued journey.”

4A Games is working on two major game projects at the moment, as mentioned by Wingefors. Additionally, he commended Saber Interactive for the successful release of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, which has been met with immediate acclaim.
