As a seasoned Satisfactory player with countless hours under my belt, I can confidently say that the tractor, or as I like to call it, the game-changer on wheels, is an essential tool for any aspiring Factories Inc. CEO. The sugar cube’s speed and automation capabilities make it a staple in the early stages of resource management, allowing you to focus more on expanding your industrial empire rather than manually hauling resources around.
In the game Satisfactory, one of the initial vehicles available to the player is referred to as the tractor, or sometimes likened to a sugar cube. It offers several additional features such as storage for resources, automation capabilities for collecting resources from depots, and an integrated workbench for crafting purposes.
This vehicle can reach a top speed of 55 kilometers per hour, which is slightly faster than Blade Runners. However, it lacks performance on uneven ground. It serves as a beneficial choice for gamers at the beginning stages, and it’s quite efficient for automated deliveries.
How to Craft a Tractor in Satisfactory
The tractor becomes accessible once you’ve completed the Vehicular Transport upgrade, which in turn requires 25 Modular Frames, 100 Rotors, 200 Cables, and 400 Iron Plates. Once the necessary prerequisite is met, players can construct the tractor using their build gun.
As an enthusiast, I’d be thrilled to share that you’ll need five Modular Frames, five Rotors, and ten Reinforced Iron Plates to put this project together. Once constructed, it can be customized to navigate autonomously along a pre-recorded path or be taken off the beaten track for exciting wilderness exploration!
How to Automate Tractor Deliveries
In the game Satisfactory, resources are frequently scattered. Instead of spending excessive time and resources laying down long stretches of conveyor belts to connect them all, players can opt for tractors early in the game to automate transportation between any two locations on the map, thus saving both time and resources.
You can have multiple tractors working the same route to transfer more material.
To accomplish this task, the player must establish two Truck Stations in each designated area. Each station requires 15 Modular Frames, 20 Rotors, and 50 Cables for construction. After being built, players can engage with the Truck Station to choose it as either an unloading or loading bay. It is recommended that one station functions as a loading bay, linked to a storage area of materials intended for transportation to the main base, while the other operates as an unloading station, connected to a storage container or production line at the base where the necessary materials will be offloaded.
At each railway station, there needs to be a steady 20 Megawatt power supply. Furthermore, ensure that at least one station is linked to a fuel source for refueling the tractors.
Once the truck stops are set up, climb into your tractor close to the loading dock and initiate a path recording using the tractor’s options menu. Then, travel to the unloading station and return to your starting point. Name and save this route for future reference, and activate autopilot to observe the automated process. The tractor will autonomously follow the specified path, moving between the two stations to load and unload materials without human intervention.
