As a die-hard Rocket League enthusiast who’s been following this sport since its humble beginnings, I must say, the 2024 RLCS is shaping up to be one heck of a show! The Swiss bracket day one was nothing short of electrifying, with nail-biting matches and top-tier competition. Three teams qualified for tomorrow’s Playoffs – M8, Spacestation Gaming, and Team Vitality.
As a gamer, I’ve just wrapped up day one of the RLCS, where the Swiss bracket took center stage with 16 teams duking it out. In this cutthroat competition, only three managed to secure their spot for tomorrow’s action-packed showdown. With mere days left until the finals, the 2024 Rocket League Championship Series is shaping up to be a thrilling ride!
3 Teams Qualified from the Day 1 of 2024 RLCS Swiss Bracket
Today at Dickies Arena, Fort Worth, Texas, saw a Swiss-style tournament unfold, featuring 16 teams battling it out. Each match was best-of-three rounds, with three participants per team showcasing their skills. Amongst them were some of the world’s top contenders squaring off against each other.
Only three teams, however, were able to qualify for tomorrow’s Playoffs.
As the sun set, the gaming tournament turned into a heart-pounding battle. It wasn’t always easy predicting who would move on, as numerous games ended with a razor-thin 3-2 margin.
The final matches, though, of the Swiss bracket, were held between these three teams:
- PWR vs. M8
- Team Vitality vs. Oxygen Esports
- Spacestation Gaming vs. QuikTrip Pioneers Gaming
In both cases, the competition between PWR and M8, and Spacestation Gaming versus QuikTrip Pioneers Gaming, resulted in a clean victory for one team each, with scores of 3-0. This means that M8 progressed to tomorrow’s Playoffs, while Spacestation Gaming moved on as well.
Team Vitality, however, put up a bit of a fight against Oxygen Esports, as the team lost 3-1.

Here are the three teams that are advancing to Playoffs from the Swiss bracket:

- Team Vitality
RLCS Playoffs Begin Tomorrow
As a gamer, I can hardly contain my excitement! On September 14, 2024, we’re diving straight into the playoffs. It’s going to be a fierce battle as multiple teams face off against each other. The day kicks off with a double whammy: Upper Bracket Quarterfinals and Lower Bracket Round 1, setting the stage for some intense gaming action.
In total, the prize money for the RLCS 2024 competition amounts to $1,165,500. The team that places first will receive a prize of $300,000.
Following several playoff matches, the championship game is scheduled for this coming Sunday, September 15, 2024.
