As a dedicated Star Wars fan who has spent countless hours immersed in the galaxy far, far away, I can hardly contain my excitement at the news that EA and Respawn are working on another new Star Wars Jedi game. The confirmation of this “final chapter” has me eagerly anticipating the thrilling story that lies ahead.

EA has confirmed that Respawn is working on another new Star Wars Jedi game.

At the EA Entertainment and Technology’s Investor Day 2024 event held on Tuesday, its president, Laura Miele, announced that the studio is working on the “closing installment”.

“Respawn is working hard to bring the final chapter of this thrilling story to players,” she said.

Besides announcing another Star Wars Jedi game from Respawn, Miele also shared that the series has amassed over 40 million players since its debut in 2019. The latest installment, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, made its way onto PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on September 17.

She stated that we’ve produced some top-tier and highly successful Star Wars video games, generating approximately $5 billion in total sales.

During the recent gathering, no additional details about the upcoming sequel in this thrilling trilogy were disclosed. What we do know for sure is that a fresh face will be steering the ship as the game’s director. Since Stig Asmussen, who skillfully helmed the first two installments of the series, bid farewell to Respawn back in 2023.

Since then, he has established a fresh production house known as Giant Skull. This creative hub is currently developing an exhilarating action-adventure title utilizing the advanced Unreal Engine 5.
