Fans Have Figured Out Where The Battlefield 6 Concept Art is Set

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of gaming under my belt, I can confidently say that the revelation of the next Battlefield game has me more excited than ever! The concept art released by Electronic Arts has certainly piqued my curiosity and left me eagerly awaiting more details.

On September 16, Electronic Arts unveiled information about the upcoming Battlefield title, though they only shared a piece of concept art which didn’t reveal the game’s official name. For now, we’re speculating that it might be named ‘Battlefield 6‘, but let’s hope they come up with something more imaginative.

After the art reveal, observant fans scrutinized the concept art against actual landscapes, excitedly trying to identify the nation portrayed in the image.

And then TopMob confirmed where it’s located.

Purely Conceptual

Respawn Entertainment’s Vince Zampella addressed the next generation of Battlefield recently, outlining a few core details about the game. He mentioned that it’s a ‘return to classic Battlefield’ with 64-player maps and a resurgence of the class-driven multiplayer system.

Additionally, he highlighted that the team is considering a 2025 launch period as a possibility. However, whether they will actually meet this deadline remains to be seen.

Accompanying the data, there was a striking visual representation – a shot depicting an urban landscape under threat, with a forest burning, helicopters overhead, and distant explosions. This sparked queries among fans about where this concept artwork originated, despite the main discussion being centered around whether AI had been employed to generate the picture.

Through a review of maps and images, it was found that the setting for the concept art appears to be in the small British territory known as Gibraltar, which lies between Spain and the continent of Africa.

Previously, Gibraltar has been featured in a Battlefield game before. In particular, it was depicted as a disputed territory between PAC and EU forces in Battlefield 2142. Additionally, many have noted the strategic significance of Gibraltar, reinforcing its suitability for inclusion in a Battlefield scenario.
